Alright...Talked to Don, and the two of us are thinking the group rate rooms in Estes Park are the way to go.

I talked to a really nice guy named Clyde at the Rodeway Inn of Estes Park. July rates in EP are anywhere from $145 to over $200 per night. If we can guarantee 7-12 rooms, Clyde will discount them to $119 for premium rooms on the first floor and loaded with ammenities. 2nd floor rooms are $114. He would like to block the rooms together, so I'd like to get a rough estimate of how many rooms we will need. Clyde will give us a cut-off date, so people will have up until a certian date to decide whether they are going or not.

He sent me a PDF file, but I don't know how to attach that to a thread, so if anyone of you knows, jump in and school me..Or PM me your email address and I'll forward what I have to you..Otherwise, here is what he wrote:

"AJ,

Nice speaking with you on the phone this morning! Attached, in an easy to open PDF format please find our group request form with the group discounted room and suite rates listed for your visit on July 22, 2013. The standard rooms listed are all on 2nd floor, so premium rooms may be best for your group. Along with the room and suite rates shown on page 1 of attachment also find property location, description, room and suite amenities, and lodging amenities including large indoor heated pool, hot tub, game room, free WIFI, and continental breakfast the morning of your stay. Page 2 of attachment you will see, among other information, “fun things to do” with locations and contact information. For additional information or to answer questions or to book your group’s visit please feel free to contact me at 1-800-458-1182, 970-586-5363, or email [email protected]. I appreciate the opportunity!

Thank you,

Clyde W. Stevens

Director of Marketing

The Rodeway Inn of Estes Park"

So...If you're planning on going, please post up so we can get a mostly accurate room count. If you want to try to share with someone, that's cool too. I want to get a block set aside, and would rather be two over than two short. Once we get the cut-off date, any rooms not booked by then will be released.

So far,

I need a room

Don needs a room...That's two.

I think you need a different location.....there's nothing magical about Estes Park as a stopover on a motorcycle tour.

I'm a maybe for this ride, but I would like to share a room if they have double beds in the rooms.

This thread is about Donny and HZilla trying to help out the CF Crew with a group rate...
Understood but if the group rate is going to be $119 (probably $130 with taxes) maybe its time to re-think the location.

Obviously you have a computer and the internet...Feel free to find something you think is more suitable. I'm not thrilled with $119, but it is what it is.

Add another room for a Masshole. Thanks Zilla!

I plan to stay two nights there so if anyone else is there a day early you are welcome to join me on a little loop to see the headwaters of the Colorado River. The route includes dirt along an ancient native american path, just to warn you ahead of time.

I am not that familiar with the area but I really don't need to look......you have already found suitable alternatives in Loveland.

So you should thank them for doing the research for you. More riding, less noise...

I could use a roommate as well, but not just for EP, but rather for each night of this massive CF. I need to be more economically minded this year.

And BTW, thanks for doing all the heavy lifting on this AJ & Don

Dang...that's a lot of clusterfookers.

Should be a great ride. Count on great scenery...and *99 calls to the CSP, by onlooking cagers. :D

With that many beemers in the parking lot, will we need to bring fire extinguishers to protect our bikes?

If I can find a flame retardent dowco cover, I may consider attending this. Just wish it was on or near a weekend....sounds like fun.
