During my rides with BigDolma and TurboDave last month, I noticed that during low speed (<25mph) tight turns, my handlebars would 'wobble' very mildly back and forth with a slow cyclic rate- I got the impression that the forks were flexing due to the extreme lean angles involved -

Due to my lack of experience, I can't say if I was experiencing road surface undulations, or a flexing. I observed this during left and right turns, with both dry and wet road surfaces.

Can anyone comment on this? Has anyone had a similar experience? Bike is an 06.

TIA !

Mine did that once a while back, while two-up on a tight right-hander. Felt spooky! I thought it might have something to do with low fork oil level in the left side, long 'nother story.

I don't think it from your forks flexing at that speed. Could have more to do with suspension set up or tire pressure if not road condidtions.

Could a poorly balanced tire cause this?

I haven't experienced you exact problem but at 25-35 I can tell the front tire on my 06 is out of balance.

My bet is on tire pressure. My 05 felt the same way until I jacked up the pressure to 40/42 from 32/36. Big difference!
