Craig,

What a fantastic rally. Way to go!! You really showed us some of the best of the San Diego roads. It was great to have a reason to revisit old favorites and see some new places. My absolute favorite part of the rally was the random, playful, obscure, humorous bonii you concocted. I also really appreciate the way you were noob friendly and attempted to teach beginners skills. I am really glad I participated.

RJ-It was great to see you again, and it was a real treat to ride with you for the brief time on Highland Valley Road. But after hearing your story, I guess I am glad I did not try to follow you to the Bates Nut House. Santa Ysabel Casino was a lot easier.

TWN-It was a pleasure to meet you. Many thanks for the tips on those roads you were mentioning. Hope to see you somewhere down the road...

GZ-It is was wonderful to see you again. I am really glad to have participated in an event with someone with your skills. It was very impressive watching you in action.

Well, I wish I could say that I had a ball running the rally, but I did have an enjoyable time, nonetheless. I'll definitely be at next year's run, cauterized or, at the very least, equipped with extra absorbent nasal tam-poons...

Thanks for a great time, Craig! :good:

I'll post the rest of the standings tomorrow, but I will say the Doug (everyone for that matter) made a great showing. In particular Doug finished just behind RenoJohn on this one and even turned 59,000 on his VFR before the final checkpoint!

TWN did suffer a self-imposed DNS this time, but made himself extremely valuable to the rally at check-in time. Lisa and I enjoyed sharing a nice little ride around the county and grabbing some lunch with him, as we made the rounds spot-checking up on everyone's progress. I'm sure if that turkey had taken my head off or East Grade Road TWN would've stepped up and taken over for me!!

Now about that RenoJohn fella... we don't know who he is. Apparently he must've gotten a hold of a rally packet and joined in somehow. No idea what he was doing at a nut house... well, that nut house in particular... :glare:

Here's a picture from a photographer that hangs out on Palomar Mountain on the weekends to photograph the motorcycles (taken 4/26). Is this on of you folks? (auxilliary tank is a giveaway)

Yep. RenoJohn is the first. TwoWheelNut is the 2nd. I'm riding 2UP in the photo before TWN.

I sent my incrementing photos for RenoJohn to post. I'm sure he'll be along in a day or two with another PG rated report...
