Man Passes Gas

SOUTH CHARLESTON, W.Va. (WSAZ) -- As if getting a DUI wasn't enough, a man arrested for driving under the influence got in a lot more trouble at the police station.

Police stopped Jose Cruz on Route 60 in South Charleston Monday night for driving with his headlights off.

Then, he failed sobriety tests and was arrested.

When police were trying to get fingerprints, police say Cruz moved closer to the officer and passed gas on him. The investigating officer remarked in the criminal complaint that the odor was very strong.

Cruz is now charged with battery on a police officer, as well as DUI and obstruction.

A couple friends were throwing sunflowerseeds at each other in a local eatery, when one missed and the arrant seed hit a cop. He arested her and charged her with assault with a deadly sunflower seed. The DA threw the case out

It's a damn good thing he didn't try to ignite it or he'd be charged with attempted murder.

Had a guy intentionally hit me with his car while I was directing traffic.... and all he got was simple assault and was allowed to enter the pre-trial intervention program... a few hours of community service and he was done. I'll have to keep up with this case and see if he's convicted.

YGTBSM!!! My DA's office would laugh me out of the room. Just reading that complaint gives me pause. If the worst thing anyone ever did to me was fart in my general direction, I wouldn't have so many scars.
