I just pulled this off the dealer website....

2006 FJR1300 Priority Delivery Program

The 2006 FJR1300 Priority Delivery Program will begin shipping in April.

Our records indicate that your dealership had an Estimated Month of Delivery of

“March” for one or more units.

Initial shipments have been delayed approximately 3 weeks. We expect to begin

shipping units the week of April 10th.

You can view the status of your FJR1300 order on YDS under “Sales” “Orders in

Process” and “Future Order Delivery Status”.

Please accept our apologies for the delay.

Tony :megashock: :megashock:

As one of 119 people in the USofA that forked over $500 on the first day of this "fine" program with a Yamaha COMMITMENT of a March delivery, and with new '06 FJRs being delivered literally around the world (WITH saddlebags...) but not here: B---S--T!

"Apologies" don't cut it...so what COMPENSATION will Yamaha put forth to offset their broken Corporate commitment from last September? Talk about not giving a flyinnn fluck about customer relations; this really leaves a sour taste in my mouth...should have just kept my '04 ST 1300. Totally torqued...DFO  :bleh: :bleh: :bleh: :bleh: :bleh:

I'm disappointed that my FJR will not arrive in March, too. Since I have a couple other rides in the garage, I'm not all that bummed..... and the weather is not all that great here in New England unless one has Gerbings.

Yeah, with the 'rest of the world' getting FJRs faster than the USA, I'm surprised that it takes this long to get the bikes to us. Perhaps we are just a small market in the ST area, eh. BTAIM, Yamaha is not doing a good job here in the USA with this program. JMO.

And... what's with the "one color fits all" deal. Too damn bad that we can't have other paint jobs. But, like Henry Ford said.... "You can have a Ford in any color as long as it's BLACK".

Jade would be nice.... whatever. April will soon be here, m'friends.

I've been SOOOOOooooo waiting to write this:

NO FRICKIN' DUH!!!!!!!!

BWAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!!!!!! :lmao: Suck-kahs!!!!! :haha:

If it makes you feel any better, my bike was to be delivered in June of '04. It arrived the last week of August. So happy waiting and wanking! We'll send the Waaaaaaa-mbulance.

I neglected to mention: thanks for the update re Yamaha's pathetic customer relations. Somebody at that Corporate HQ needs a lesson or 6 from Dale Carnegie. This smacks of the Corporate attitude that was (maybe still is...) so prevelant at GM, whose cars I USED to buy. OTOH my Hondas (cars and bikes...) have been mostly a fine ownership experience and the few times I've had problems both the dealers and Honda have bent over backwards to take care of things...no excuses, just performance. Hhhmmm, is there a lesson there? Maybe another ST1300 would be acceptable???

With our weather running well under "normal" temp wise my 1200R, Suzook SM and '74 BMW R75/6 are rather cold to be riding. A nice, new blue FJR with my Gerbing gear would probably be just gr8...IF I had the bike, even without the bags for now! DFO

Well it seems we have the D and the P. Delivery and Program. We're just missing the P...Priority part.

Although, I'm sure Yamaha Corporate is not happy with the situation either. They are lossing money sitting on all that inventory without getting paid. I'll bet there are some pretty heated converstaions between Yamaha and the bag maker going on right about now!

lotecredneck - Thank You. Get more info from you and this site than my dealer.. :( Better informed than ignorant...

What the hell. I'll be working noodles of OT then, and won't be able to pick the the bike up until waay into May. Maybe I can do like I did with my 91 Harley... the new dealership didn't want to sell it because it was his 'cornerstone' bike.. had it on the big rotating display under bright lights.. I said sure, keep it for 4 weeks.. and he cut almost 3k off the price.. Think my local Yammie dealer will bite? ;) Me neither.

Not so much pissed off as dissapointed which is even worse.

DaaayUmmm.. I sound like a typical Waiter - Whining, crying, whimpering... (just like all the waiters before me.. :) "Got any Cheese to go with that Whine"

At this pace, I'll be riding my FLHTCU to WFO/Reno.. Hey Warchild... If MammaYamma can't deliver before WFO can I still park my HD inside with all the cool bikes? :cownoy:

I never expected it would be any EARLIER than April when I ordered my '06. Low expectations offset disappointment. Till then, PATIENCE GRASSHOPPER. The wait will pass into distant memory minutes after you crank the throttle for the first time. :dribble:

Thank you for the update Tony!

For anyone reading this that doesn't know, Tony posts under 'lotecredneck' and is the dealer in Texarkana, Yamaha Sports Center. He's down to earth, a straight shooter, and knows what customer service is about.

Any blood sucking leaches..uh I mean lawyers on this forum? :D

How about a breach of contract (failure to deliver in a timely maner. Time of the essence) lawsuit? I am sure there are plenty of plaintifs who are willing to file a motion. I know when I plopped my $500 down. time was sure of the essence! A $100 a day deduduction off the bike for every day past April 1 would work for me.

I bet there is some fine print hidden deep somewhere that would prevent that. You'll prolly just have to settle for whippin' somebody's arse.

I hear ya! I have a real bad feeling about mine now as well. I think I'm fixin' to get the corporate bone myself, six weeks after I waited, two years after some other poor sap waited for who knows how long. I'll know more tomorrow, but I'm not very optomistic at this point.

Well as a "Waiter-Baiter", I hate to say "I told you" but, ... :haha: :haha: :haha:
Not being quite as, er, gentlemanly as my friend Rogue, Bwaaaaaahaaaaahaaaa! :rolf: :haha:

I told you so!

Bwaaaaahaaaaaahaaaaahaaaa!!!!! :haha:

Did you purposely not read my other posts when I said that I had to take my vacation using the Concours, as the '04 FJR didn't come in as promised? :dribble: And I'm not the only one....and sheesh, you guys have a short wait! What the heck would you have been like during the summer of '03 when the first shipments had not arrived. They didn't even have FJRs to look at, read about, learn about from other owners (Okay, Joos' site from Europe was very helpful, but not the same as having "local" owners)...nada, zip, zilch, nyet, uh-uh, nothing. I ordered my '04 in Feb. and got it in Aug...and was happy and have not looked back. Now, breathe! Inhale slowly...hold it...exhale slowly. Don't speak! Take another breath...hold it...exhale slowly. Repeat 4 more times.

Just what kind of cheese would you like? Some Brie, cheddar, swiss, smoked Gouda? As strong as your whine is, perhaps some Limburger!

All of us who have been down this road have been good-naturedly trying to get you to lighten up. Did you listen? NOOOOOOO! Gee whiz, I almost felt bad about predicting April 1 (You fools!). :bleh: Now they are targeting April 10....oh shucks, darn, drat, ***, heck and pshaw! And a lawsuit? You've got to be joking....My God, its fun waiter baiting! You guys have made my evening...:lmao:

Bwaaaahaaahaaaahaaa :D :haha:  ;) Get a grip! Those who complain the loudest will be amongst those who procalim what a great bike their FJR is, trust us, we've BTDT and read other's posts.

Until then, We told you so!
