So I got a promo mailer for Motorcycle Consumer News for $22/yr. I've heard of it but I've never seen a copy. Is it worth it?

+1 on oldryder! Mine was a gift subscription from a fellow Feejer :yahoo: but I will definitely renew. Also, they just went to color format a few months back and that helps a bit, too. (mmm, fancy pictures)

Absolutely! Its a wealth of info and is not plagued by biased/sell your soul to the advertisers content that the other mags are. Plus its now in color!

IMHO it's the finest motorcycle magazine out there, and it's the only one I subscribe to. Since they take no advertising dollars (that's right, no ads in it!), the reviews are not biased. They cover everything from dual-sports, sportbikes, and cruisers to our beloved sport-touring machine. Spend the money, you'll be glad you did.

It's the only mag I get also. I like it. It has physical and mental health articles along with product reviews, all good.

I just visited the Web site for Motorcycle Consumer News, and the subscription rate they have posted is $22. So looks like this lower rate is available for everyone!

interesting..................

I just got my renewal notice in the mail.........I have it here sitting on my desk. Been kicking around the thought of re-uping..not as easy of a decision this year........as it's been in years past.

It says: 24 issues $60.00 (w/enclosed 5.00 off coupon)

or 12 issues for $44.00.

I like the rag..........

but w/high gas, food, blah.....blah.........I'm considering dropping the sub. I've been with them for many years and have most issues.........but it appears they are not interested in keeping me as a sub. buisness for them must be good.

It's a good rag especially for newbies. If you have never subscribed to it, I would recommend you do so at least for 1 year and form your own opinion and move on from there. I have learned much from them...some good technical stuff in some of those past issues.
