Looks like they're having fun now...AND it's a nice day to hit the twisties in SE Ohio
Looks like they planned well enough (or got lucky!) to avoid the closure on 800 by Barnesville. I don't know if Rob has ever enjoyed the long, straight and boring roads of SE Ohio before. If not, I'm sure he'll realize it's only a day ride from home!

BTW, if the Ontario guys don't get a dualsport ride going for August, I'm planning on heading down that way again.

Well, those long, straight, and boring roads should prepare him well for their tour of America via beautiful I-80.

Looks like they may be spending the night at Ramble Central (the Microtel in Marietta)...headed down 26 in the right direction

Sounds like a great time for you guys

I don't know if you've found any place to stay or feed near San Francisco, but I'm east of there by about 20 minutes in a little suburb called Pleasanton. If your schedule is still the same and you'll be around these parts around June 17 to 21, then I could probably help you out with some tire and oil changes if you need 'em at that point. I may even have some take-offs for you if you roll that way.

Could probably put you up for a night if you wanted, though it sounds like you want to camp most of the way.

At the very least I could help you find a great road or two as you head north through the Bay Area.

shoot me a PM if interested....

Looks like they staying at the Microtel in Marietta. Humph. I'm surprised they had a room after seeing two FJR's pulling into the parking lot. JSNS.

Odd little backtrack they took on 537. They should've come down to 260, its great!

... er, I mean BORING! Flat! AND straight!

Don't try this at home.

This is the result on the way to meet Mike on day one.

Not a big ride today. Lots of twisty roads though. I tore my shoulder up a few weeks ago and for some reason today the ache was unbearable. Ice and alcohol should help.

I picked up a new camera today. Took a pic of Mike. We both have GO Pros with us and will use them soon.
