Milo 2009 DL 650 fuel cell installation

check this link below if interested in pics. Cell is baffled, holds 4 gallons, gravity flow, removable with two bolts on luggage rack and quick disconnect fuel line on left side of pillion seat. Red Fuel tank is from a 2005 bike and the fuel barb is mounted using a weld on the tank(not thru fuel pump mounting plate) just left of the fuel pump when tank is mounted. I purchased a Dan Vessels 1/4" aluminum plate which is cantilevered to the luggage rack and my special mount installed on top of it for clearance of the outlet barb of the fuel cell. any comments, realize bike is very dirty but is used for riding not washing!!

I see you opted to run the fuel line through the tail fairing instead of your original idea. I like this route mucho better!

How did you mount the tool tube to the rear rack? I can't quite tell from the picture. Did you drill two holes in the rack and run pipe clamps around the tube? If so, any fore-aft movement problems on the tool tube? I am trying to figure out a way to mount the same tractor manual tube to my bike.

drilled holes in Givi interface rack and used stainless steel large diameter hose clamps. No movement noted.

My bet is you're prepping the Wee for some big rides? Sure makes sense to me...

Not a problem for me. the mounting is absolutely rigid to the frame of the bike. would it make you nervous?? if so, please explain

"cantilever" makes me think that all of the load is hanging out there unsupported. That puts a lot of stress on the fulcrum.
