Sorry to break it to you guys but that tornado that took the city of windsor apart in colorado also took that track apart as it was in it's path. You may want to find something else to do instead track day.
Man, I hate to win this way. Just so as not to make it so hard on the also rans, you prolly should just mail me the tiara, size XXL, if you will, to over here in Maryland. It's a good day when you don't even have to open a can of Whoop Ass to win, momma always said.

A special thanks to all my admiring fans. You, too, Odot.

Now let's put an end to this talk about my victory and turn our thoughts to rebuilding Windsor. We bow our heads...
I think you got your head size a little wrong on the "small" side -- :p

Big Mountains!

Several of the other places we considered for having NAFO were nearby Rocky Mountain National Park. I visited this park in the 2007 Iron Butt Rally and was totally overwhelmed by the magestic beauty and sheer elevation of it all. It would be a nice 200 mile loop through Winter Park and Estes Park (two alternate considerations for NAFO) and the park itself.

Also see CHMH Eagle's great details about Rocky Mountain National Park and Mt. Evans here.

good thing she had $
that's the only way I'd done her.
she married into "new" money and because of that was despised by many of the "old" money wealthy.

I've taken the tour of her house - if you are into history it is interesting and they discuss many aspects of her and the family life in Denver.

Cassady, Kerouac, and the Beat Generation

Besides San Francisco and New York, Denver played an important part in the Beat Generation including Jack Kerouac and Allen Ginsberg.

Fueled by sex, drugs, alcohol and jazz, the trio
would spend the summer of 1947 in Denver, living hard and fast and
laying a foundation for some great American literature.

I became the unnatural son of a few score of beaten men.
- Neal Cassady

One can find the remnants of this heady summer here including details about the Denver local, Neal Cassady. He's also believed to be the muse for the iconic book On the Road.
