Wish the newer generations had the turn signal indicators of Gen I,.... they made a mistake with those, reducing them to the size they are you hardly notice them.

The Gen3 turn signal indicators are 3x the size of the Gen2 and therefor MUCh easier to see.

Yeah, this gets filed under "who the **** cares?" In my book. I don't pick a bike by the "dash". This likely being the very last thing I care about.

My collection of performance awards would also underline how often I look down at the gauges.

Perhaps we should ask what color you like the most while you're at it.

Each to his own. The dash styling and layout is part of the package. To some looks are not important, to others looks are the most important part. I believe that form should follow function. I also believe that with anything that brings pleasure and excitement, looks are a factor. Whether it is a motorcycle, a boat, a vehicle, or a wife, looks are a factor. If it is going to be unattractive it better have a great personality, like a BMW GS or Yamaha Super Tenere.

I remember when performance, brakes and handing were what brought pleasure and excitement to a motorcycle....now bikes are becoming like luxury cars, it's all about how much stuff it has and how cool they made it all look.

Digital readouts, gear indicators, ambient tempature gauges, heated grips, cruise control, tire pressure sensors, selectable engine modes, clocks, altimeters , etc etc....NOT saying its bad, but holely crap, they sure seem to be shoving alot more "tour" into Sport/Touring....
