mounting monolock case on Gen1

I had a GIVI E370 with their mounting plate on the original FJR rack of my '03 FJR, never had an issue, but also didn't have a passenger using it as a backrest.

My (ex-)wife and I were both a little chunkier than we ought to have been, and no issues with room with my E52. Since she always wore a good jacket I didn't need the stupid backrest on the box....

+1 on the stupid backrest. No need for it. The armor in the back of your wife's jacket should be ample.
