A written work is about an idea or concept. To help the reader understand and enjoy it, the explanation or narration is broken down into units of text called the paragraph. A paragraph is a self-contained unit of a discourse in writing dealing with a particular point or idea. Paragraphs consist of one or more sentences. Yes, one-sentence paragraphs are okay. The start of a paragraph is indicated by beginning on a new line. In an essay or on a motorcycle forum, each paragraph explains or demonstrates a key point or thought of the central idea, usually to inform or persuade. All paragraphs support each other, leading the reader from the first idea to the final resolution of the written work. On motorcycle forums paragraphs are usually separated by the use of blank lines and no indent (these are sometimes known as "block paragraphs").

Now let’s try it with paragraphs, shall we?

I'm a kindred spirit to JB's point about the lack of even token paragraphs in a few people's posts is rather annoying--to the point I rarely read some posts and only scan them to ensure they're not about to have a nutty and be a problem for the board. And, I also agree that spelling and punctuation (sometimes even by myself) can be trying of one's patience. Finally, I agree the excessive use of CAPS just pisses me off.

But, Mrs. Day isn't in the best forum area as her observations don't really have anything to do with the forum software or basic board operation. Moving thread to its new home.

And, I would suggest if a post annoys somebody...use that spiffy new feature to the bottom right of each post! A red negative reflects poorly on the poster and a green positive similar ups their post karma by one notch. Enough negatives or positives and their karma title even changes.

Here's how Doris would have written it: With great affection and respect (admins, please notice), bite me!
You made me laugh Doris! :)

Some folks are multi lingual and others have three nipples.

I am a multi lingual illiterate, so can I get a hall pass.

I sure miss talking about motorcycles.

Tu halba mucho, yo entiendo nada.

Like my mama used to say, "ach arschloch, du schtisnst vi coo scheisse", and she is Portugue.

Hey Teach, did I get the lesson correct?

Good info, Ig. I just clicked JB's little green plus thing. So now you know who gave you the plus, JB. :)
OK OK plus 1

I gave Ig a -1 just for chuckles and the fact the forum police have +1/-1 quotas...even forum policing involve quotos :dribble:

(wait, why can't I login anymore)
