I have checked my owners manual, but can't see any reference as to how to change the digital display from km to mph, on the multi-function display. Is this possible, if so, how to do I change it please?

Cheers.

No one seems to know why, but if you live in a KPH country you can’t change to MPH. If you live in a MPH country you CAN change to KPH. Seems a bit unfair!

On USA models, I believe you simply hold the dash button down for a few seconds. I have done this acccidentally a few times while resetting my trip odomoter!

Per the owners manual here in the 'States, with the key on, hold the select and reset buttons for a few seconds and the display will toggle between Km and MPH. Since the UK is one of the last remaining bohemian countries to have MPH; pounds (weight); and inches your display *may* be switchable. You need to stop by International Site and ask there.

Instructions are in the owner's manual somewhere, but I realize they can be hard to find.

Here's what you do, and it shouldn't make a difference whether its a U.S. or English FJR.

Press and hold the "select" button for approximately 2-3 seconds. That's it. Of course the ignition has to be on. That's all it takes to cycle back and forth between english and metric readouts.

Au contrere, mon ami! It does matter. Only the U.S. versions will toggle between KPH and MPH. Our Northernmost friends (as compared to we in the lower 48 Southern Canadian Provinces) can't toggle to MPH when they visit us from the Great Frozen North.

It seems extremely unfair, but that's how Yamaha does it.
