My fugly RDL Tractor Seats have arrived...

I just got my RDL. Haven't ridden on it yet due to the snow. It definitely looks...different but I'll embrace it based on the functionality. I'm hoping for a whole new experience come spring time.

After 50 years of riding I get that there are all kinds of folks enjoying the 2 wheel experience, but i have no clue why looks mean jack **** to the experience. For me, and most of the guys I have ridden with, it is always function over form.

You want to see ugly I'll post pictures of the russell seat on my KLR when I get it back from Mad Mike next month. I wouldn't be without the Russell seats on my bikes. I can't see it when my *** is on it and If I do see it while riding something really bad is about to happen.

Just tell your GF the ugly *** seat is to keep her sexy *** happy. That and some chocolates ought to work

There's guys like me, who want both form and functionality at the same time.

In this time and date spending that kind of coin? Want both. So I'm half happy w this purchase I guess. As said, TWT and I may see such great comfort that I overlook the asethetics. Could happen but the tractor seat looks makes it a tall task to overcome.

This ^^^ is exactly what I was thinking! With a bike that ugly the seats really don't make that much difference.

Just kidding. I completely understand wanting something that looks good and works good at the same time. Since you spent that much money on that extremely good looking K1600, I can see how you would want everything to look good on it. I feel that way about my new FJR as well.

However, I think those seats look pretty good. When someone looks at that bike and actually knows what the heck they are looking at, they will know that you spent a lot of money on a very nice set of custom seats. To someone who knows, those seats look great.

They look almost as good as my Laam Custom Seats on my FJR!

Hehe, well I'll rephrase Debbie here...
As she first looked at the seats mounted "you just ruined one sexy *** bike". Her words, and she is also the one who made me NOT take delivery on the "battleship gray" 2013 GT. Debbie is all about style, but this time... I hope to see it differently than her after I ride w the seats ...maybe a few K's? I know there's a break-in period.

Well, I guess the GT-Sports OEM one's?. That would be what Debbie has her comparison to (only), as she has not seen any Laam's, Corbins etc on my bike. I still got the OEM seats to appease her as she said she would never go riding on 'dem fugly ones.

She prob would change her mind if she would try them out, but she won't. Her loss I guess.

I agree that my butt will thank me, but the seats still look like they should be on a John Deere.

I thought John Deer tractors had yellow seats? They look much more like Deutz tractor seats to me. Ah German engineering at its finest!
