I have been looking around for a cupholder to put on my FJR. I did all the forum searches and actually found quite a few good ideas, but they still just wasn't what I was looking for.

So off to Wally World i went and got one of those bottle holders that fit on a bicycle. A few wire ties later and presto, just what i wanted :p

the main purpose of this particular rig is that I am one of the few people who actually like to dip while riding and I needed a good place for a spittoon :p :yahoo:

And if'n ya spit and don't clear the bags, that **** will FU the finish. Gotta get me a flip up helmet for those chewing days.

Yep, ur from Tennessee. Zip-tied cup holder :beach: pepsi bottle  pepsi bottle for spittin'.

Seriously, the holder isn't a bad idea.

sonicspeed,

Nice farkle bro. Also, good to know there are some fellow chewers out there. I have a full face helmet and can't spit too well...so, I resort to the marlboro snus while riding. They don't create any spit and are pretty good. Normally, I chew Lancaster chaw.

What type of helmet are you riding with?

Again, nice farkle.

Rex

Can you give us a picture of that farkle after a full day's riding to see how it worked out? :) Ya know ya gotta test it...to see if it works.

(And no wipe downs before the picture is taken)

Years back I used one of the 'Car-Buoy' [sp] holders fro a marine supply place w/ a stubby beer bottle for the same purpose. Couple of times an officer passed me just as I tipped it back, I always wanted to be stopped for it so I could say "Officer, if you're man enuf to take a pull off of this bottle, you're man enuf to write me any bloody ticket you want!"

If you'll pardon a brief hijack, I note you're using a SWMotech/Bagman bag w/ the cap mount. I just bought one for my '08 [when it gets here]. How ya liking that system?

I hope you have a cruise control so you can use both hands to unscrew the top  .

Ummmm...I notice you forgot to re-install your clutch lever after installing the water bottle holder!! :dribble:

i really like it but i wish it was bigger. the more i use it i realize that more room would be nice

Nice work. I did the same sort of thing with two of the holders. I have a large Kuryakun bag that I mount as a tailbag (big velcro with pad wraps nicely around the pillion backrest so the bag faces backwards) and on the two corners between the velcro and the side pockets I mounted the holders using washers and bolts thru the hardplastic inside shell of the bag. The wife can reach them easily as we ride, but when we stop I don't have far to reach for mine... But I may have to mount one in front now, thanks!!

If I knew how to post a pic I'd show ya! If you are really interested PM me witth a real email addressand I'll picky you.

The next step is a "water bong" helmet...
