Fire up the "barby" and slice it into snake steaks? :yahoo: Surely a lot easier than putting the smaller ones on skewers!

Lessee, a little rendered garlic butter....a bloomin' onion..... and for libation, a port, a merlot or chardonnay?

I don't give a flyin' phuck how you cook it. I'm just glad it's dead. I understand nature and the need for snakes, bla bla bla. But I'm part of the "keep them away from me" crowd for sure.

OK. I'd like to propose two new rules for the forum:

#1- NO PICTURES OF SNAKES, DEAD OR ALIVE.......EVER :angry2:

#2- If you title a post "My wife, getting out of the shower", you must post a picture of your wife actually getting out of the shower :dribble:

I agree with coach....except the first part....I personally want to see snakes either dead or alive....preferably dead. Now, wives getting out of the shower.....that would be just peachy.

I gotta ask, Steve.....what the heck kind of snake is that???? I mean ....DAYMN!!!...Those teeth are like something right out of some sci-fi horror movie!!

Buggered if I know actually. It was in an email a friend sent to me a couple of years ago. We do have some big snakes including the Pilbara Python. I don't think that is one, but will stand corrected if someone proves me wrong. The Pilbara Python has been reported to grow up to 7 metres in length, often roaming up to 70km searching for food.

I believe the specimen in the pictures I posted may have recently 'lunched' and was unable to proceed through the fence.

Either way, I am with a lot of you...better dead than coming through my front door.

OK....one more

This fellow was 'spotted' fishing in the Kimberley's (Northern part of Western Australia). Not sure if he is using the kangaroo (dead) as bait, or he actually caught it, and is attempting to retrieve it.

After checking with Snopes, the snake on the fence is actually an African rock python which had eaten an impala ewe and was trying to go through the electric fence when it was killed by the electric fence. The pictures were taken on Silent Valley Ranch in the Waterberg mountains of South Africa. If you go to the site you will see the images of the impala that was removed from the pythons stomach: "https://www.bushveld.co.za/pictures-python.htm" :dribble:

And there goes the African safari which had little hope of happening in the first place. Boy you guys are a big help!

sadly, caught itself in an electric fence.
well that is a matter of perspective.

A view of the python's mouth. A python's bite is not venomous but would be very painful.
Reallllyyyy now?

Amazing how afraid of snakes we all are. Don't get me wrong, I'm not crazy about them either. But it certainly would not detract me from going somewhere with known snake populations. Afterall, they are in every state/province and country around the world and have existed for millions of years before man.

Probably the most hated and mysterious creatures on the planet alongside the shark.

Thanks for clearing that up Gary...I've just unbolted my front door. :)

Now where are these pictures of a lady getting out of the shower?

I think I'll take a trip to Ireland. Supposedly St. Patrick got rid of all the snakes there.

I was in New Zealand on business in '97... there aren't supposed to be ANY snakes there. I believed that and went on some hikes where I should've seen snakes, but didn't. Odd that, being not so far from Australia, where there are a million fukin' kill-you-within-one-hour snakes about. If they don't got shoulders, I don't like 'em.
