BACK to your friendly neighborhood NAFO thread - Cheeseland Edition. Sorry I sidetracked it......but if you want to see funky sculptures...Cheeseland was made for you. Rick can tell you all about it...
Forevertron, House on the Rock, Don Q.

Wisconsin is a prime example of what a long winter layoff can do to a person.

Don't fret boys and girls there WILL be a NAFO Version of the Rally Rallye

Absolutely the best way to experience the best that Minnesota, Wisconsin and Iowa have to offer for roads, scenery and um interesting locations.

Ah, yes Wisconsin is ground zero for yard art.

Just so you know I love the pioneer cemeterys.

Wisconsin has a network of what they call Rustic Roads often with breweries near by

If you plan on running the Rally Rallye might I suggest that you brush up on your Laura Ingells Wilder trivia

Just come to Sudbury. Nickel mining capitol of the world. Our lunar landscape fuels your electric vehicles..."You haven't actually looked outside have you"
That's what you get for living in the second largest meteorite crater in the world. (The metals actually came from the magma that filled the crater.)

To balance it out, that should also make y'all one of the better garden spots too.

You'd think so, but over a century of unregulated smelting has either found the soil eroded to bare rock, or, laden with heavy metals/chemicals (cyanide) such that I won't eat locally grown produce. It also explains one of the highest cancer rates in Canada.

Words of advise to anyone considering the Rally Rallye:

1) You will have more fun then you thought possible.

2) No the police do not except "but, I'm in a Rally and need to be back by 4pm"

3) Most important: don't forget to record your mileage!!!!!!!

My scoring was a blood bath, but before Rick started I told him that I had already won, because the score didn't matter. Even riding alone, that was one of the most fun days of riding I have had. I saw a whole lot of things that I never would have seen had I not done the rally. BTW, I ended up winning after all that too!!

Any cops in cheeseland? If so I'm riding my electric scooter for sure, I can't get a ticket on that castrated thang.

I just got a letter in the mail weds night that if I get 1 more speeding tix within 18mos, it's bye bye to my CDL. So I guess this puts me on probation! (familiar; sounds kinda like me with this Forum!) lmao.

I can be the flagman at the start/finish line!

Can we move this a little more central, like maybe to San Francisco? Just thought I'd ask.

Common JB you hate the bay area traffic. Why not experience real country riding to the mid west. I have ridden the alphabet roads of SW Sconnie and your artist side would love the whole trip. Do it !

No.
You need to see more of this country it sounds like.
No shit, Wheatie. You nailed it!

Besides a move like that would upset the dairy cows.

4) Remember to do the MATH correctly... and if you're going to claim a freakin' mileage bonus make sure you actually qualify for the bonus!

11 out of 10 rally participants got that dern bonus addition wrong, although the upside is Rick got to hack and slash like a computational game of Fruit Ninja!

Such a blast though, definitely doing this next year!

I'm not harsh at the scoring table because I'm mean, well maybe a little, but to teach you the finer points of rallying. You learn from your mistakes, if I give you the points when you don't deserve them what you learn is that close is good enough and well, close ISN'T good enough. Reading comprehension is one of the basic tenants of a good rally-rider :big_boss:

I, for one, had no problem whatsoever in the way you scored Rick. It was a good learning experience for my first rally. Like I said when I came to the table before you started scoring, I had already won!
