Gotcha! Okay here's the real wife.

My link

She's the red-head second from the right. That's from our annual Pimp & Ho party. Yes, it get's out of hand quickly.

The buffeting on the wife from the stock windshield was pretty bad so I added a National Cycle V-Stream windshield. Also take the advice of getting an aftermarket seat. With these two changes we went from less than hourly stops to tank to tank if we wanted to. Enjoy!

Success! Got her out for 3 hours yesterday. I rode reeeeeeeaaaally mellow and she was not scared. She was comfortable too which is amazing for the stock seat. I did have the Shad SH-50 on there so she had a back rest. There were 9 other bikes on the ride. Most of which were Harley's so I had quite the headache by the end :glare:

I'm making my first attempt at embedding a vimeo movie so please be patient with me. Also I am already working on a vibration damping solution for the GoPro.

Very good! That's one of my favorite riding songs too!

Glad to hear she had fun! It's good you rode really slow, not only for her, but so the Harley's could keep up!

It's funny you mention that. After the ride we stopped at a place called Schooner's in Santa Clarita. The Harley guys were commenting on how me and another guy vanished and they couldn't keep up. I was seriously not even pushing it - at all! I mean you can see my speedo in the vid so you know I wasn't. Plus I would have turned the wife off of riding forever. This was sort of my last chance to get it right. One of the gentlemen clad in black leather chaps said that his top speed was about 85 or 90 before his whole bike starts vibrating/shaking badly! I wonder if that's typical for all Harley's?

Anyways it was probably a good thing I was riding with them.

I think it's typical for quite a few of them. Yep, it was lucky you went riding with Harley's instead of your FJR buddies!!! You'd better leave your wife at home when you do that, or you might ruin the tenuous but favorable riding situation you are cultivating by being a good boy! :)

Yes, I noticed the speedo and you really were being very conservative.
