Ack!!! No such thing as a larger fuel tank for the FJR. And though I wish I could, I don't build or market diddly squat.

There are many "fuel cell" or auxilliary gas tank options for the FJR, but that's in addtion to the main tank, no to replace it.

haha....now you are going to have to show him a pic of that tornia tank thingy. The one that mounts on the back and acts as a tie down area for trunks.

Oh, christ on a bike.....now I am a squadron leader ....ain't nobody gonna follow me, I guaranteeeee.........

I have a friend that built many oversized tanks for bikes that raced in the various endurance classes. Basically he takes 2 tanks (usually 1 good one and 1 donor) and after a bunch of cuts and welds, makes 1 big one. He regularly took a 4.8 gallon GSXR tank and gave it a capacity of 7-8 gallons.

They weren't cheap and they weren't cosmetically pretty when delivered (needed bondo and paint), but, they worked and didn't leak.

I don't know if he could be talked into doing one for the FJR, but, if anyone is seriously interested, shoot me a PM and I'll ask him.

mspilot. The colors are not the same. See the pics at the top of the page. The one on the left is an 03 the one in the middle is the 04.

Another Tanji fuel cell, original # 6, trouble free for one year. Magnificent workmanship and simple to use. I sure hope it will adapt to me 06 AE. :assasin:

Good God! I was just thinking about skippin' a few petrol stations along the way, not run in the Dakar Rally! Pretty darn cool lookin' though. Like the paint job on the bike too Turbodave - sweet.

Oh yeah, nice lawn Skooter. You've got to be in my old stompin' grounds - Phoenix? Scottsdale?

Gr8eyes - thanks. I saw the different colors and thought so. I like the '03 silver a lot, but couldn't find one in good enough shape to buy. I ended up with my '04 with only 3400 miles on it.

I also have an '06 on order from D&H, but haven't decided to buy it yet. May just forfeit the deposit, but I probably have until June to decide...
