Hello All,

So I picked up a nice 2008 FJR in Texas (with 1003 miles on it), and rode it home to Atlanta. I stopped off for the night in Baton Rouge, and stayed in a hotel. When I woke up in the morning and walked outside, I found my beautiful and basically brand new FJR had been backed into and knocked over...onto the right side. (yes the jerk that hit the bike fled the scene).

As you can probably imagine, this was totally heartbreaking. However, stuff happens, and I must move on and take the needed action to replace the damaged pieces - which includes the right side bag, and the right side mirror.

The brake lever is slightly bent as well, but I may put after market levers on the bike, unless someone out there has already done so, and they have a like new condition brake lever they would sell to me for a good price ?

The right side of the main fairing piece has a few very small scratches on the edge right below the brake lever - and the right side fairing panel piece has a few nicks.

I am going to try to live with those pieces as is for a while (due to budget, as I just depleted my funds buying the bike itself). Plus it appears that replacing the main fairing piece will be quite the task.

However I am hopeful that I can find a right side bag and mirror for a good/fair price.

Occasionally I see bags posted for sale, due to a bike that was totaled, but the bags were not on the bike at the time of the accident. This is what I am looking for - not that I am wanting someone else to get into an accident for my own personal benefit :) however, if someone did, and their bags were not involved, I have a good home for the right side bag. And I would probably buy the pair if the seller wanted to only sell them as a pair.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks much.

That kinda sucks, if the plastic bits are not cracked you might look into just having them painted...or just ride it the way it is...this way you won't need to wash it as often. Oh, and welcome to the club.
