Took the '14ES out today for a 300+ mile run. Stopped on a narrow shoulder to snap a photo. Left the bike running and turned on the emergency flashers. Got back on the back on the bike and pushed the flasher button again and they didn't go off. Tried several more times....no luck. Stopped at a quick stop and checked that the button wasn't stuck down and it wasn't. Turned the bike off and on with the key several times..still no luck. Rode the 100+ miles with them flashing. Can someone give me a place to start looking for the problem please? Any help appreciated.

Sounds like the contacts are stuck. Got a rubber handled screwdriver? Smack the housing a couple times, see if they loosen up. If not, disassemble it. IIRC it's just a couple screws (pay attention which is where, one is slightly longer) and 2 plugs but it's been a while.

I’ll have a go at it…Thanks!

Went at the emergency flasher switch this morning. Disassembled the housing to get directly to the switch. Of course it's the very bottom thing in the housing. Hosed it good with contact cleaner and air. It took several treatments before it switched to off........once. Took the switch apart and cleaned the shuttle and the switch housing bottom track it runs in. It is responsible for actually holding the contacts or releasing them. Reassembled all the parts and springs and it's seems to work OK. If some other poor soul has to take this apart be advised that there are three springs inside and one of them is REALLY small. Thanks for the help guys.
