I picked up my bike after havin a new front PR2 put on to match the rear before my trip.

On the way home.. brakes normal... brakes normal .... brakes normal. Brakes completely fail (right side foot only)

Did they get frickin air in my rear pedal front brake.....? :assassin: ABS Yes!

Maybe they got one of the pads on the wrong side of the rotor?

They would have had to open the hydraulic line to get air in and I don't know why they would have done that to install a tire. Check the brake fluid level in both front and rear brake reservoirs just in case.

it came back after the full down no brake time. could not get it to reoccur?

I am flushing both systems tonight to get new fluid in anyway. I can't think of any reason they would have opened system either. Just thought it wierd. thanks for advise. what would pads on wrong side do? I have not looked for myself at the brakes yet.

Sounds like it was the first time you used the pedal after the change.

Wrench pried the pucks back for the tire change, pumped the front afterwards but forgot that 2 front pistons are linked w/the pedal, should be good to go after you pumped them up.

that is exactly how it acted but I used them all of the three miles home through stop lights etc.

The system works so that if you use the pedal lightly it will only activate the rear caliper, I'm guessing this is what you did the first couple of stops. The fist time you used it with enough force to activate the front 2 pucks the pedal went soft, is what I would guess, but what do I know?

Your going to love the PR2's.

OH! that would probably explain it. I all ready love the rear PR2 my previous Avon front had plenty o tread left It just was wearing very odd. The high and low spots on it were just howling at me and I didn't wanna listen all the way To cali and back on my nine state tour. 9 because that is all the map I could fit in my old GPS. Thanks for the help.

Have a great ride. :)

Last night I bought two bottles of dot4 and went home with my redneck brake fluid "Bong"

Sucked a bottle of fluid through the rear/front system and a bottle through the front system. Dirty stuff out... clean stuff in.

I feel better. but no air.... I was changing fluid before trip anyway.

If I had know a vacuum pump that sucks to 40000 feet and a mayonaise jar could bleed brakes so easy I would have done this on all my vehicles over the last26 years. quick and easy.
