New in crate 2015FJR A $9995.00

I was looking for a new'15 and talked to these people on phone. I decided to keep my '18 Goldwing and my '07 Vmax. and pass on this one. I am not connected to this dealer. Seems a smokin' hot deal. G N Gonzales [Honda/Yamaha dealer] in Baton Rouge La.

The price that Brittany quoted me was $9995. In the crate. 225-387-5328

I bought 2 FJRs from Gonzales...an '08 and a '13...the '13 was in the crate. They make pretty decent deals, and that one sounds pretty good.

I paid $9K for 2015 that was in the create 2 years ago. I would expect a little better price now.

They do tack on a $249.50 fee for (?) set up or something. I emailed them today and was told price before taxes/title would be $10,244.50.

Their exact wording:

"THIS NEW YAMAHA FJR13 IS ON SALE FOR $9995.00.

YOUR PRICE TOTAL WILL BE $ 10,244.50

YOU WILL PAY YOUR TAXES AND TITLE FEES IN YOUR HOME STATE"

I would ask why their price is the same now as it was 3 years ago, I also picked up a 15 for less than 10k OTD when Yamaha was blowing the 15 AS models out before the 16 6-speed and led headlights were available. IMO The price seems 1K-1.5 K optimistic for a bike that has a much lower resale value.

Note I am very content with my 15 A, but I have had the opportunity to enjoy it while it's value was depreciating.

Just my 2 cents worth.
