Thanks for all the congrats.

Frame sliders – got it. I installed a set from Motovation.

In the 1000 miles I’ve put on the bike I gotta say it’s more than I expected it would be. Great handling and power for what it is. I adjusted the handlebars to the forward position which seems much more comfortable. Don’t believe I will be installing risers. Of course I need to put more miles on before I decide what other mods should be done. One thing for sure, an Adaptiv RD will be mounted soon.

Dealt with a lot of rain and flooding from Isaac, so not much ride time.

The only concern I have is that occasionally when I roll on the throttle, the engine dies just off of idle. A forum search led me to the wiring recall. I called my local dealer and sure enough the recall is open. They ordered the harness and will call me when the parts arrive. Can anyone tell me if the stalling is a symptom of the ground recall?

Other than that I’m impressed with the bike. I’ve never owned a touring bike before, so I’m looking forward to some long distance trips in the future.

The Vmax is ridiculous. I’ve got 2 Gen ones also, but that ’09 is brutal. It draws attention everywhere it goes. The wicked torque and acceleration is tons of fun. I kind of figured there would be some Vmax owners on this forum.

Turn your idle up to 1100 rpm's and that will fix the problem.

I'll give that a try. Thanks Niehart.
