08 FJR delivered yesterday between melting snow and wet roads of the day before, and snow today! Dealer picked up 02 VTX as trade in. He made the deal with me without even looking at my bike a couple of weeks ago. Have dealt with these guys for 25+ years and have never felt like I had been hosed. Just for a plug, they are Sindt Motor Sales in Dubuque, IA. Takes me all of 10 minutes to get there. I've temporarily changed my avatar to a pic in the garage until the weather cooperates and I can get more creative! Some quick pics:

Farkel one was removal of ugly gas tank warning sticker.

This was Farkel two. A MADCO throttle lock. I had one of these on my VTX. They are a high quality unit by a small manufacturer in CA named Bill. Was very happy with this one as well. $100 shipped.

Farkel three, Motovation sliders

Fourth and final Farkel(for now) Fenda Extenda using Warchilds boltless install. Really scary pulling your brand new fender off and gooping it up with ABS glue!! At least I didn't have any road grime to clean off.

Finally, the reason I'm farkeling and not riding!!

Nice, very nice.

Doesn't the weather just suck? Especially with a new bike...it's like having a thick juicy Filet, but no tastebuds.

I did the MadCo install on day one, also. Love it!

Congrats on the new baby.

Man what nice dealers you people have. Had to go get mine, IN THE RAIN!

Have to check out that throttle lock you got there. Have to do any trimming to the throttle?

No trimming requierd. First time I used compressed air to remove handgrips. Was amazed how well it worked!! Looked like grips were put on with clear silicone caulk from the factory, so that is what I used. Just a very thin film in the inside of the grips, not the throttle tube. That way when you slide the grips on, the excess silicone will be pushed towards the outside of the grip and can be removed. MADCO sends along a spacer and a longer bolt for the bar ends. I had the Motovation bar end wieghts to put on, so I had to do a little modification, but not a big deal.

nice looking bike and have fun riding it...

what is that white stuff all over the ground? One of the grainery mills have an explosion and spread flour all over everything?

here is a link to the MADCO site for the throttle lock - Clicky
