Hey all, after my wreck a few weeks ago, I find myself shopping for a replacement FJR. The dilemma I'm finding myself in is all of the ones I'm finding have around 30k miles, and I'd like to be around 15k. Is this an issue that I need to let go of? I know that there are bikes w/200k+ on them, so 30k is just barely broke in by comparison...Thoughts?

Advantage: 30K the first valve check should have been done.

Disadvantage: 15k the first valve check will need to be done in 12k miles, on your dime. This could be between a $450 and $650 disadvantage.

Difference between 15k and 30k - zero. Well, the 30k bike will be just broken in and experiencing better gas mileage. The only real difference is more psychological than actual and perhaps a few $$$.

Not a lot of difference with an FJR, although I'd still look for the lowest mileage bike I wanted to afford. 30K will take fewer $$$ on the initial purchase...

Good luck with the search!

I wouldn't hesitate to buy the 100k 08 here on the forum for 4 grand...

I think there is another 08 (listed here) in Ga for a very good price also
