Sort of a topic change....

Today, I looked at a Kawasaki KLR650 and a Suzuki Vstrom 650. I really liked the Vstrom. The KLR was WAYYYYYY too tall for me. It was like getting on a horse! :angry2:

Have an idea about tradin' in the FJR. Seems a dual-sport like the Vstrom is the best of both worlds. I can go off-road exploring, camping, etc. AND zip along the pavement.

The ZX14 can be converted fairly easily into a sport-tourer that I could tolerate.

Anyway, thinkin' on it all. Maybe it's just the winter rainy-assed blues. <_<

Well, my "Bling" finally arrived (chrome heel guards & a chrome chain guard). I kinda went the opposite direction than Warchild did. Next will probably be new slip-ons and a 4-6" swingarm extension kit.

I'll try to take a picture of the bling tonight.

Here's a few including the modified Whistler.

Okay, the Schnitz Racing/Roaring Toyz kit finally arrived. I took the bike in to the shop on Saturday (inbetween rain, snow & hail storms). I picked up the bike today.

Here's a side view. We extended the rear about 4 inches. It can go a little more than 6 inches. It's been lowered to the middle link. I can now sit with both feet flat-footed with all my gear on. Before I was on the balls of my feet... barely.

Here's a view of the extenders. I'm going to redo the brake lines a little better later on.

I have a nice chrome chain guard installed. Hard to see here.

To get a comparison of the rear extension, here's a stock pic.

The kit included another chain. I didn't want to use 2 master links. Next is chrome wheels.
