Bought my 04 ABS a couple of days ago. Got the tag and title transfer today. Rainin' like a frog strangler here in Central Floriduh now and just put a pork shoulder on the smoker. The beer 'fridge ain't quite as full as it was a couple hours ago and now with it bein' the end of the week, I can start messin' around with my FJR. Sumpin' about Friddie night, rainin', meat on he grill, out in the shop with yer new scoot. Life is good.

I was jus' lookin' at the radar, and like the whole of Florida (other than my very own panhandle) has it's own big ol' orange splat on the screen. The rain is heavy, and EXACTLY on the land of the peninsula. SUX for you southern FL guys, but I'm OK up here on the gulf. If that stuff don't come up here tomorrow, gonna take the lovely broad -er, bride- for a day trip tomorrow.

Hey, Lakeland. I've done Spook Hill and the Carillon Tower. That's BOTH your touristy things isn't it? (Had a college friend from there, went out with his sister for a few monhs.)

Sux leavin' the new toy alone, don't it. You know you hear it calling you, begging you to go out anyway. . . . . But not after emptying the beer fridge, all right? Strange, but we had three days of rain when I bought mine in June - first rain we'd had in WEEKS!

Yeah it does but I've learned to be patient,,,,, long as it ain't over a couple of days. ;-)

Yardwork is a "must do" tomorrow but Sunday is mine,,, sneaked in with a couple of short runs.

I gotta get my "sit bones" back about me. All I've done in the last few years is track days and a few rallys that I've trailered my bikes to. I feel like such a ****, Jane. ;-) Funny how life goes around. I just wanna get back to "ridin'". No destination, no time frame, somewhere I can get a jag of cheap wine and throw my sleepin' bag down and look up at the stars and wander off. Dinty Moore makes some killer "chicken and dumplins" that go well with cheap wine and a cheap buzz on the road.

I'll get back there,,,,, and it'll be on the FJR. This is a really nice motorcycle.

What?! And no invite?! Oh, dood, like, you are sooooooo banned!

'nut, you be nice to Goobr. He's a personal acquaintance of mine and trust me, after him and me putting togther a "Going The **** Nowhere" ride for some of the ZRX hooligans a couple of years ago on about 30 seconds notice, he and I just might hop on our gorgeous '04s, fly out there and kick yer sorry..... :)

Seriously, though, you'll love this guy. Smart, funny, FAST AS ****, and knows his motorcycle ****. Oh, makes a KILLER pork shoulder. His pre-ride breakfast sausage and biscuits will make you slap your wife, too.

Steve,,, where the heck you been man? It's been too long since we rode out for breakfast. We got some catchin' up to do brutha!
Yeah...been away TOO long.

1) Kinda felt bad after the "cruiser incident" with Hammerhead on the Lakes ride and stopped posting on the OA board

2) The Feej has totally dominated my "bike life" with its sultry pleasures (as you'll soon discover)

3) I've kinda turned into a post-whore over here (but NOTHIN' like TWN...compare our post counts and join dates

4) My two least favorite four-letter words....."real" and "life".....have interfered with existence in general

Nothin' I can do about #1.

Glad about #2.

As long as the 'nut is here, no one else can be accused of being a #3

#4 is simply the beeotch.

However, we definitely need to make plans. Just hard to say when, y'know?

Will be in touch.

As we like to say in California, and it sounds good for our Right Coast Sister Sunshine State: "You are COMPLETELY golden...." [Think sun, internal glow of pure contentment, and that amber beer color.]

Ya know...now that you mention it...the day I bought my FJR I couldn't ride it home because of rain. Had to come back to the dealer the next day to take delivery and ride it home.... You hearing some weird music that sounds like some 1960's vintage sci-fi/horror TV show???? <_<

Hey Goobr, good to see your here!

Did you get your kitchen cleaned up before you went to working on the Feejer? :rolleyessmileyanim: :D

I'm fixin' to go change the rear tire on mine here shortly...... or at least get the wheel pulled off today anyway.

Hope you can ride it up here the end of the month........with Wayne here, that'll make 3 FJRs.... so it'll be a ZRX and FJR ride, hehe.

Welcome Goobr,

What is the all this talking about rain keeping you from riding... You other Coasters are spoiled, with your "Sunshine"...

I sing to the "If it ain't snowin' I'm goin' " tune.

Ride Safe.
