After putting over 2000 miles on my 2005 FJR I know what I need to add next. I have the Yamaha accessory seat and V Stream windshield along with Ram mounts and PCA power outlets. It runs smooth and pulls quite strong compared to my cruiser. A joy to ride for days on end.

However I do note the need to bring the bars back and up as my fingers do get to tingling after riding for a while and having a throttle lock to rest the right hand would be nice. I think the 10 degree risers from D and D will be my choice for the risers. Now I have to decide which throttle lock to get and install. This is where I am venturing out to the forum for input on what is used and liked after years of experience with your choices. The ones I see are throttlemeister, Kaoko and vista. I had the vista on my cruiser and it tends to block the starter button.

I would also ask about tires but I do not want to open up that can of worms, lol.

I was forced to get rid of my Vista Cruise when I installed my heated grips. I have a Throttle meister now. I miss my Vista Cruise. Mine never interfered with my starter button.

+1 on Vista Cruise. I had to putz around with it when I put my after market heated grips on the bike, but it works great. I wouldn't trade it for any other make. Cheap, simple, easy to install, works like a charm. I use it often and need to be able to flick it on and off quickly and easily. It does this very well.

Also the Go Cruise it is cheap at $20 and works great for me: https://www.fasteddysports.com/?page_id=3&product_id=876

I did not know about the Go Cruise option. The Vista I had would interfere with my reach to the start button if I held the throttle. Was considering the KaoKo but now I can save some cash and use the GO Cruise.

Thank you for the suggestions. The wealth of knowledge and experience here is wonderful.
