Gunny!!!!Its kind of interesting that they would use a couple hundred dollars worth of diesel to write a $75.00 speeding ticket. Doesn't seem to make a whole lot of sense to me.
Reporters did a "ride-along" and it was on the local news last night with video coverage. They are targeting the folks that phuck with big-rig's ...cut them off, tailgate, pass them then slam on the brakes ....etc etc etc.Yo, RenoJohn... Slow down!
The Dodge Ram that I encountered couldn't help but announce that it had a Hemi engine..... in addition to the normal tart-like Hemi placards installed during assembly, mine also had about a half-dozon decals/bumper-stickers proclaiming it was a "Hemi"...North of Pioche in eastern Nevada ....got off with a "rural". A Dodge, but I don't believe it's a hemi
Old friend visited me last Tuesday. When I pulled in my driveway I saw his new toy Dodge R/T hemi.I got pulled over by one of those Dodge Hemi trucks on Day 6 of BBG Hell Week last July.
Fortunately, we knew each other. We chatted briefly, then I told him to give me a few minutes head start, and he wouldn't be able to catch me. He said: "OK, I'll give you 5 minutes, but just so you know, this thing has a Hemi!"
I just smiled. He never had a chance..... I never saw him again....

they claim 80percent of big-rig incidents are the result of an ****** in an automobile ..only 20% of the time is the big-rig the cause.
What's a "rural"? Obviously, cheaper than a "non-rural"...North of Pioche in eastern Nevada ....got off with a "rural". A Dodge, but I don't believe it's a hemi
Musta had a modified air intake for those kinda numbers. He claimed it dyno'd at 420 hp
Man, I have to call ******** on that. Here in Vancouver we repeatedly see newspaper stories of drivers arrested at the port-of-entry scale on I-5 that are either drunk, high on meth or something else, or have outstanding warrants. And they tried the same thing here with a big PR and sign campaign to "teach" us car drivers how to drive around the big trucks, all because the poor crybaby big rig drivers claim it's always the cars fault (I guess we need to form our own lobby). Is it any wonder people whip around them then move into their lane when they're parked out in the two left lanes of a 3-lane highway? Back when I drove long-haul we wouldn't think of using those lanes unless we were really passing somebody, lest a CHP would come out of nowhere and write us the dreaded $27.50 violation. They claim 80 percent of big-rig incidents are the result of an ****** in an automobile ..only 20% of the time is the big-rig the cause.
It may not have anything to do with the lanes, but more to do with violating someone's "safety zone". I agree that they should arrest and prosecute drivers you mentioned in your statement about the Port-of-Entry. But there are plenty of us who drive daily, do not use drugs or drink alcohol and try to drive safely, carefully and politely. Here in CA, the lane violation is more like 10X what you posted and in my area, they enforce it. And yes, it makes me PO'd when it happens to me.Man, I have to call ******** on that. That little maneuver is probably the biggest cause of accidents for sober drivers. I call it "me first" driving. They do, while talking on their cell phone, suddenly realize they are passing their off-ramp, slam on their brakes and cross 3 lanes of traffic (rather than going to the next ramp and coming back).
Ya, I've seen one of those hemi'd patrol rigs. Pretty cool to see, but not when they're in your rearview mirror.....had about a half-dozon decals/bumper-stickers proclaiming it was a "Hemi"...
And yeah, you gotta love the Nevada "rural" citations.... I got one of those on Day 5 during that little run last summer...
....hmm, must vary by area as i see cars constantly screwing with trucks here .......I think the truckers in NV are less agrressive, perhaps because it is truckers that you usually see in mass at the rural brothels -maybe they take out their pent-up aggressions here. Maybe something your area should think about.Man, I have to call ******** on that. They claim 80 percent of big-rig incidents are the result of an ****** in an automobile ..only 20% of the time is the big-rig the cause.
Yes, this is what I see, I see truck violations, but I see many more cars screw with the truckers, especially violating safety zones. It's tempting, I try not to ......but always a big enough gap in front of a truck to squeeze in.This "squeezing in" is what they're hoping to catch people doing here (among other safety zone violations. The fact is that many cars do pull in front of me, slam on their brakes and "suddenly" turn in

This is the first I've heard of it. Nobody tells us diddly out here in Podunk, USA. FWIW, seems like a well-intentioned effort, but wasteful at the same time. A little ambivalence never hurt nobody. Well, maybe a little. Hell, i dunno.Makes me wonder if Beerme is going to be in the big rig.
