No more Honda ST1300?

One thing I don't get. If you use this system on a sport bike, it adds weight. Riders (or at least moto-rag writers) of sportbikes are concious of weight. It makes far more sense on a Goldwing or ST, IMHO.

BUT, combine it with ABS, Traction Control and decent ergonomics and I would go for it just for the cool factor. If I drove through LA or SEA-TAC during rush hour a lot I'd have to look at one too. If I was using it as a track bike or something... nope.

And is it just me that likes that little jacking/kick you get when you shift? Too smooth can make it feel like a well..... a Honda. Too refined with no soul.

I'm on the fence with this technology...
