Should a non FJR owner be an FJR Forum admin?

Strip of his rights till he comes to his senses!

..the beatings will continue until the moral improves... :p

Richard,

"Not have it long" as in finding what it cost to keep running with Him on it ? In my Ed McMahan voice "You are correct Sir"

I only wish the FJR was a bit shorter I would still be on my favorite bike in 46 years of riding.

Just keep it up there Carver and I'll call Hans und Dieter in Berlin about you, for a kneecap realignment! I'm so very proud of my illegitimate bastard son: He finally has seen the divine Motorraden light and now is riding BMW's finest, der R1200GS (2009). Years of preparing ever delicious BMW purple Kool-Aid for my oldest Son has finally paid off. Deutschland uber Alles, miene Schatzie!

Oh crap. I'd suggest kicking you off the fjrforum too, but at least you still *own* and *ride* FJR's...

I assume that the appeal of his new Bohemian Motor Werks motorcycle was the factory installed stabilizers on each side of the gas tank

(Not that his employer and sales brand would have made a difference in his motorcycle choice... )

Oh for OK Petey's sake Russ, if we kicked every single Goober off of our FJR Forum: The only ones left here would be James Burleigh, Fred W and ionbeam. And half of the time I am not convinced that Alan S. is not a Goober King, either!!!

And Carver, SkooterG still has his "otra" 2004 FJR; he was over here yesterday afternoon on the "spare" FJR, drinking up all of my Foster's Ale (the prick!). At least he didn't see the Negra Modela Especial Cerveza at the back of the fridge!

I had an '09 R1200GS. It was a lot of fun. Almost as sticky in the twisties as the Super Moto. Strong engine. Easy on the Interstate. The very BEST on board storage that I have EVER had on ANY bike.

Unfortunately for me, the geometry, which I expected to be somewhat V-Strom like, did not agree with my left hip. I tried Sargent and Corbin seats, and even got in line for a Russell, but then decided to just let the bike go. It was too tall to add another inch with a Russell.

My DL-1000 (big V-Strom) was more comfortable for me once I had installed the Corbin saddle, but the factory bag options did not suit me, and I owned it early enough in the build cycle that there weren't good aftermarket options yet.

I bought the GS as a leftover in November last year, and traded it in the new season toward my K1300S. The K1200Rsport and K1300S both really suited me better. I'm addicted to the adrenaline rush that accompanies the 'gentleman's sport bike.' The gentleman's dual sport (R1200GS) is a great bike, but it isn't supposed to be the screamer that the K's are.

Compared to the FJR, I liked the R1200GS better because of the significantly lower weight, and the panniers and pannier liners.

So are there actually pictures of this finely crafted German machine or just a rumor? ;) Wouldn't want to out 'ol skooterG until we have the proof, eh?
