I am planning a leisurely ride. These are fun roads, but the distance is light and this ride serves two primary purposes for me: 1) Spend time with some of you fine folks and 2) Ride Ice House and Wentworth before the snow stops us.

Note: These roads are major fun. Check your 6 and wave eager riders on.

Most excellent, Andrew. I will be bringing GF (good thing TC won't be there with his steel toes), so I'll be two up, and the ride is now on my calendar. Probably leaving Auburn about 7 am, but with the time change between now and then, that means the sun will be up by the time we leave to meet you at Starbucks.

I love that ride, and besides, I need to reconnoiter a part of Wentworth Springs Road (the 1/2 mile or so on it from where it takes off to French Meadows Reservoir) for the purpose of some issues attendant to my trial by declaration on the performance award I got there a couple months ago.

Any rides where I might show up, you'd best be wearing a cup. GF, okay, live-in GF, cup check time!

Too fun! Can't make it...the weekend of the final episode in Pasadena. Same roads we got turned around on because of snow? Uhm, bring snacks, thereare no services up there except outhouses and water faucets.

I'm in. Perfect timimg, I have to work that night starting at 5:30 so I might skip lunch @ Georgetown and SLOWLY make my way home. I'm wearing the electric vest & golves on this one, It might be a bit chilly at loon lake, what is that 6000 ft? In fact I think I might do this ride today as a test ride to make sure the roads are safe and the food is still quality at the Georgetown Hotel.

It was blowing quite a bit up there last night...be careful on the pine needles! Sherri and I took the new Honda up to South Lake Tahoe last night. We wanted a hamburger.

Andrew, first of all I forgot to get your permission to take my noisy Holeshot modified bike on "your ride" I promise to stay towards the back of the group and only blip the throtttle when I mis-judge and go into a turn too hot. Can I still come along or do I have to start 1/2 hour later :) I thought it was her Honda :D

BTW, I just got back, started at 12:30 PM and got home at 4:30 PM with a 1/2 hour stop for "the best" (In-n-out). No pine needles, or any other dangers, except on the goaty road to Loon Lake. I was going VERY slow coming down Wentworth springs road (10 MPH over limit max) and saw 3 LEO's :angry2: just past Mt. Toms and Forestville Road where Rich AKA ExSB got his PA that is is contesting. B) I think this section of road may now be their favorite spot to hangout and get their daily qouta - those bastads. Why don't they just hang around Placerville and get the Harleys for excessive noise? :D

Now, THAT is outstanding reconnoitering, Bill!! Bastages!!! They're still up there on those empty roads writing motorcycle tickets!?!

Believe me, if one is the same CHP motor-LEO that got me, he has NO concern about what you're riding, as long as you're on two wheels. From my attempt to be friendly with him, I even wonder if he's the least bit interested in motorcycles at all, except for their stealth as a ticket giving platform. He sure didn't want to talk bikes with me -- as soon as he'd written me, he was off to write a couple more awards to Harley riders heading the other way: "I gotta go, got a couple more citations to write." WTF????

That was a first for me: knocking on my helmet and waving my yellow award at a Feejer going the other direction from the scene of the crime, standing next to my XX, only later to meet up and discover it was you I'd been signaling. Wish it were funnier, though. Gotta admit, though: I'd take that ticket all day long for what happened later that day -- sat down on the grass by the sound engineer at a blues festival in Auburn and had the sweetest, prettiest blonde girl and her 2 friends sit down next to me. Going backpacking together this weekend to celebrate today's 2 month anniversary of that Performance Award. :D

Now you shouldn't be wishing anybody noise citations Bill.

You got permission when I wrote "All Invited". That was aimed at you to let you know your noisy pipes were okay....on THIS one. B)

I attended a small rally in Kyburz last year and our rides were Icehouse, Wentworth Springs and Mosquito Ridge. Those were some of the best roads I've had. Rivals the Ozarks & Smoky Mts. The local guy who scouted them has gotten stuck in the snow a couple times (bout 10-12") couple of times. I will return to the Seirra's next spring (late :D ).

Andrew, sorry but I can't join in this one. I'm going to spend some time with wifey this weekend, I think she's forgetting what I look like. :D
