Then we stopped for lunch. At the Samoa Cookhouse, on the Northern Peninsula of Humboldt Bay, across the bridge from Eureka. Here all the group of adventurers joined up.

Lunch stop: L-R are Mrs. FJRob (terri); Bluestreek (Steve); FJRob; Mrs. Bluestreek (Cyndi); FJRay. Notice Rays "Classic" liquid silver '03 in the foreground with my sleek '05 :) .

A couple of things the NorCal FJR riders like to do (besides ride-ride-ride) is eat and talk (Said the pot to the kettle!). :dribble: Of course, since those activities are done while we're stopped, its the only "good" opportunity to take pictures. ;)

That's all for now. I'll post some pictures of the Lost Coast and Avenue of the Giants tomorrow.

So where's the bloody coast? Actually, we're headed inland but you can see the road below and the river in the distance, so we must be close.

Sorry, no more pictures. The road required too much attention or it was just too dark between the trees on this foggy/cloudy day...I've got some great shots of "dark" with a sign reflecting from the flash.

Great job. I am glad I lost 100lbs or it would be more than the camera could stand.

Wow, I'm honored Steve! If you ever want the full his res images to work with, just let me know. I'll burn DVDs for you! Nice work.

That video was great! It re-enforces the notion that "You meet the nicest people on an FJR!" Thanks for stimulating the memories. Now, about next year........

Wow! What a great ride! Brings back some really good memories, thanks for the post and pictures. The significant other and myself came out 3 years ago, rented a Beemer from Dubbelju in SF and pretty much ran this ride, just in the oppisite direction. Insead of doing Lassen we elected to stay in Yosemite though. ]

Legget, Quincy and Yosemite. Hwy 1, 36, 89, 49.... all great riding. Can't wait to do it again, on MY FJR next time! I've got a sister lives in Pleasanton and will ship the bike out, then ride.

I'm SO jealous of the roads y'all have to ride. If I could afford to live out there we'd be there!
