From 113 take either George Washington or hwy 99 north to hwy 20(Colusa ave.) turn right go through Yuba City and over 10th st bridge when you cross the bridge you will be on 10th st in Marysville stay in left lane and follow the signs for Oroville and Grass Valley. There will be a Carls Jr on the left, you will turn left there. Get in the right lane. Just before the second stop light on the right there will be a small shopping center. I will meet you at the Starbucks there about 9:00

I love that road.. 4th gear , 3 digits... mmmnnnnn good !! B)

Due to back issues, which I am sure Highlander can sympathize with, and parenting issues (mom and daugter time needed) I am riding solo on this trip.

I'll take off from Auburn with exskibum and BBIII and from there I'm just going to be a follower because I don't even care where we go as long as it's a long way and twisty. :)

I'm staying at the Travelodge in Red Bluff and the Super 8 in Fortuna.

I look forward to seeing you all.

Andrew,

Meet ExSB & me @ 0830 in Auburn @ Starbucks on Elm in Albertsons shopping center. 392 Elm Ave, Auburn, CA.

Solo - Please bring the camera and take lots of pics.

We can trade off on the sweep position, I plan on taking it easy, no performance awards needed.

Meet me @ Cameron Park Shell @ 07:30.

We may need a "lost coast" ride Saturday afternoon - any suggestions?

The road from Garberville out to Shelter cove is good fun and really twisty out toward the beach. For a added bonus the fish & chips out there are wonderfull.

I wish, but I've used up all my 'Honey, I'm going for a ride - see you next week!' points for the year. That and I gotta big-ass project kicking off then that I need to be here for. S'okay, I'll watch my video a couple of times and dream I was there...

Tilly, an X-FJR rider{wrecked '05}, reports from Red Bluff and Fortuna that due to the forest fires in the area, those of you without room reservations should stop at a hotel by 3:00 PM because all the fire fighters are staying in those towns.

He recommended that those of us who did make some plans and have reservations also check in as early as possible - because the proprietors of the motel establishments may be prone to giving rooms to weary fire fighters and ignoring reservations.

Also - 90 degrees in Red Bluff yesterday at noon and 50 degrees in Fortuna at 3:30 P so get ready to change from cool vest to electric vest when you hit the coast.

Does anyone have a linky to the forest fire status? I think they are in the mopping up stage.
