Okay, boys and girls, it's bike show time!!! Linky Thingy

Many of us have discussed riding to the show so it's time to get the planning done.

I'm going to ride down I-80 and meet the Hycles in Dixon. It's only 15 miles longer for me to head that way rather than South on I-5, so its a "toss". Plus any others from the I-80 corridor can join in the "fun"!

D'ya wanna breakfast in West Sac? Meet at the "coffee place" in Dixon?

Suggested "launch" time? (Assuming everyone else doesn't want to leave @ 0600 like Old Michael and I.)

Good plan. If its raining it would also be a good carpool meet point. I say we meet at 0800 and spend an hour for breakfast somewhere on the way.
Okay, Rick, meet @ 0800, kickstands up: 0815.......

Mel's sounds good to me. Should be a little cheaper than the other options.
Original Mel's

171 Nut Tree Pkwy, Vacaville, CA 95687

Original Mel's

I'80 West, just past where the 505 merges, so we'll need to move right one lane. Take the Monte Vista of ramp, turn right at the signal and then turn right on Nut Tree Rd, over the highway and turn right on Orange Dr. about 1/2 mile on the left @ Helen Power Dr.

Orange Dr. is a divided road so we'll have to turn at Helen Power Dr. to get to Mel's.

See you guys there, staying with my brother Friday night to shorten the stretch. I think Christy is in barring nasty weather.

Be sure to get plenty of shots of the models ;)
Just for you....I "might" volunteer.
Not to hijack madmike2 sir, but I can keep silent no longer.

These more and more frequent posts that include photos of scantily clad, well-constructed young ladies is objectionable

and insulting.

It's ruining this forum and distracting us from our motorcycles and sliders and grip puppies and such.

We shouldn't tolerate it.

Who's with me on this?

(Friday is the last day for sign-ups.)

I absolutely agree... Might I suggest that anyone that poses with one, two or even three scantily clad well- constructed young ladies in objectionable attire with artificial silicone enhancements should be banned from the forum....I would also like to suggest that the anyone with thinning gray hair, a shaggy beard, numerous scars, and over the age of 60 be counseled about the destructive nature and appropriateness of their behavior when taking such a picture.

First off OM, Silent is not yours to keep. Let him go.

If this is a reglious belief, I can respect that. If not, you forgot to take your homone pills today.

Yes I agree, it was distracting to see you gripping your puppy instead of having your arms around those nice young ladies.

Back to the original thread now.

There is the Omlette Bistro in Vacaville if we want to meet for Breakfast before the motorcycle show.

It is located on Orange Drive where I80 meets I505, across the freeway from the Nut Tree.

Another option is Fentons at the Nut Tree for Breakfast or Ice Cream on the way home.

We will NEVER eat at this place again!!!!!‎ - DEMITRIABIR‎ - Jan 17, 2008

My family and I ate here, the steak came out tasteless and raw still (we ordered medium well), after the 3rd attempt I told them never mind please. I had to continually ask her for things that we ordered such as our toast, appetizers, refill for our drinks. The sevice was awful, she sat there and chit chatted with other employees, we were her only table by the way, it was a very unpleasant experience and the food was absolutey horrible, what a complete waste of money, my family and I were very disapointed. We advised the manager on the way out, he seemed to really not care. I would like to add we tried it one last time recently, it said under new management, it was even worse, the food was not cooked the way we asked, eggs were still raw and again we asked for medium well, the server was horrible to say the least, however the hostess was very nice and basically waited on us, refilled our drinks and all, we handed her the money on the way out. I gave my order back, with the uncooked eggs, and the manager would only give us half off of that meal, can you believe that! We told him about our food and service, he walked away and did not care! I would like to know how customers put up with it!

Good food, my absolute favorite item on their menu is the Belgian waffles, they are delicious and not heavy at all and topped with fruit, I would gobble it up and be waiting for my ...‎

Another option....

There's a Black Oak restaurant 1/4 mile West of the Omlette Bistro.

There's also a Mel's Diner just West of the Factory Stores (kind of across the street from In and Out Burger).

It doesn't matter to me, you guys decide where you want to eat and I'll add it to the First Post.

Or...we can all find out own place to eat....
