Shinnecock Hills is a famous track. We don't have many courses of that caliber around these parts. There is a nice picturesque, and supremely difficult one out near Mount Monadnock called The Shattuck, but I can't get out there today and the weather goes to crap starting tomorrow.

BigOgre, there's a clubhouse in that photo?
Well I didn't say you had to get close to it!

This one I did sorta backwards anyway as I didn't start out the ride with this game in mind. There's a fence and hedgerow all along that road which mostly hides the course but for some reason as I passed that opening (which I've rode past many times before) the view this time caught my eye. Turned around to check it out, took a few pics and that's when I thought it might make a decent tag. Had to first look back to see what the last tag was which then led to the fun in trying to make that grab. I threw the clubhouse requirement in just to make it a little challenging.

Grab at the Westmoreland County Country Club. The clubhouse is at the end of the drive on top.

New Tag: Go to the bank

So here is a proposal for the tag! This is agricultural credit, one of the most important and oldest banks in France

And my proposition for ney tag is you're FJR in front of a vineyard

This one is "Pape Clement". One of the best bordeaux.
It is located on the commune of pessac. It therefore has the appelation "Pessac Leognan".
And the first vintage on this domain dates (according to the writings of the monks) of 1252. it is therefore one of the oldest domain in the world.

I remember visiting napa an sonoma valley 3 years ago, and they had the same kind of vineyard. Yougest, but very nice too. At the middle of napa, you have mondovino juste in front of opus one! just nice!!!

and betwen san francisco and santa barbara, they are some nive vineyard too. We had made some good discoveries.

After, if the tag is not easily realizable, it can be opened at the distillery and brewery! Other places where one produces subtle and delicious nectar

Yes, the wine from the Napa Valley of California is nectar of the Gods in comparison to the grape juice that they ferment and call wine around here in the northeast. The climate and soil is all wrong for growing grapes here.

It shouldn't be hard to reproduce your tag. There are many vineyards around. They just aren't that good., Apparently people here don't have very discriminating palates, as they are able to stay in business just fine.

lol.

It is necessary for all the taste!

I live in Bordeaux, and my wife works in the field of wine ... so it is not possible to do not have too discriminating palates

SOMEONE has to grow the grapes that end up in boxes...

It appears that photobucket has killed this thread. The only thing keeping the ADVriders Tag-O-Rama threads going is that Tapatalk hosts photos.

The Vineyard is a completely do-able tag.

In regards to photo hosting sites. We've all been strugling there it seems. Tinypic worked for me for a long time, and I just accepted the crappy format and excessive ads. Yesterday, just wanting to post a photo to a forum, no joy. Just broken links when I tried to post a pic. So I tried a few other sites, still no joy. Then after some digging, I found https://postimages.org/ It works a little different in what links they offer you, but if you use the link for a thumbnail for forum use, you get a thumbnail pic in your forum post that when people click on it goes to their site, but shows a full size pic, (unless you opted to re-size it), and very unobtrusive ads. For now, I'm using that one for forums and so far it's working well. Time will tell.

Gratuitous scenery shot from last week, Glacier National Park. Went over Going to the Sun road after coming down from Alberta, having spent a week in B.C.

I just paid for a year of Smug Mug last night. Under $40 for the first year but owner of ADV rider forum or his family are the owners and apparently have turned down some serious offers because they hope to keep it affordable and out of the hands of bigger corporations.

I'll try to get out soon and get back in the game. Been pretty busy with other stuff and kind of forgot about this.

Grab: Vineyard.

Chautauqua Vineyards, at the junction of I-10 and US 331 in DeFuniak Springs, FL. Right next door to the Super 8 Motel and the Waffle House. Really. Not exactly wine country here.....

I did not go in and buy anything to try. I'd been riding and was, you know... slimy and smelly. It's August in Florida!

Here's a view of the building and sign, which is in the background of the vineyard shot.

New tag. Something on display at a rest stop that makes that stop unique. This is the last stop westbound on I-10 before you reach Pensacola, which is, of course, the home of the Blue Angels.

Your tag doesn't have to be an aircraft, or even something large. Just something at that stop that no other stop has, which might be locally or historically significant.
