Had such an enjoyable time hosting this get together last year, thought I'd give 'er another go this year.

Thought too that by having it a bit earlier, maybe, just maybe, we might have it before the ticks arrive.

Perhaps this time, Matt will bring some of his videos. Although he did keep quite busy cutting up parts of his bike.

LOL I'll see you there with videos! I have many more now. I'll keep the day open so I can stick around for extra beverages.

Howdy, I'm obviously a FNG......don't have an FJR yet, but I will this spring. Meantime, I am anxious to learn more about the new machine and meet some local members. I have a few friends that are on here locally that I would guess might also be interested so I will pass the word. Right now I ride an 86 Concours and an 05 DL1000. The Strom is going away to make room for the FJ. I will be buying an 03 from a friends estate. I am active in the Concours Owners Group, and we have always have a good time at tech sessions. Think spring!! and count me in.

It would be great to have you stick around a bit longer Matt. Maybe you'll get a chance to cut some other guy's bike parts. That's always a fun time, the trick is trying to convince him you know what you're doing.

Sure you're welcomed to stop by 2fjr. It's a great group of riders in this area. And some will even be willing to cut work on your bike for you. Tons of info to glean from this "well behaved" group.

Mike, I missed your event last year, but look forward to making this one. Matt, do I dare ask about a valve check and CCT r/r?

Also, this FNG 2FJR is another COGger friend who you don't want to miss. Cookie and 2FJR are always around when I need them, so let's enlarge the group to include ex COG riders. They are some of my best examples of 'great guys' I know in the whole world. We could use more like them!!!

IMS is in 2 weeks ....maybe see you there on Saturday. Then, I WILL see you in April! Thanks for the invite.

It'll be great to have you by this year Roger.

I'd have to admit, having met Cookie last yr and knowing he was a COGer, I figure this 2frj guy would probably be a pretty descent chap as well.

I'm thinking of going to the IMS on Saturday as well. Show up mid morning if I don't have to work in the morning.

Mike,

Count me in for the tech day. It was great to meet everyone last year. We seem to be adding a few more COG guys, too. 2fjr will fit in very well. I think combined rides with the two groups is in order. Some very similar riding styles and outlooks on riding. There are a number of COG guys riding FJRs

I hope to have a "normal" summer this year and be able to join the group for some rides. 2012 was very challenging. The chemo kicked my *** more than I expected. Things are looking good now and I survived the ordeal. Still doing some treatments, but with very few side effects. Life is good again. Just got back from two days of skiing at Lutsen and I feel good. Maybe it was the new high tech skies I bought. The new Volkl VWerks don't like to go slow and they handle really well in high speed turns. Stable and smooth. Gee, anyone see a pattern here?

I'll be at the IMS show on Saturday. Planning an early arrival before the crowds get too bad. Let me know if there's a meeting time and spot.

That is wonderful news Cookie! It'll be great to have you come by again this year. And yes, by all means we should get a group together for a ride. Perhaps for lunch somewheres in Wisconsin at the end of a series of twisty roads.

But that's something we can all discuss at TDay.

Again I want to say how good it is to hear you are doing well and to the point that you are thinking of riding. But sheesh, if you're cutting up the snowy slopes, riding some twisties will seem like nothing to you.

I should be able to make it Mike, although I don't think I'll be on my FJR by then or at least I hope not.

It'll be great to have you Marc, and I hope not either. I'd like to get a close look at one of those Triumph ***** Cats.

Is my jealousy showing?

Sound like another good time, Mike. Maybe you could talk the neighour to show up with some of those pop bottles again....

I'm glad you brought that up K.. My "neighbor" would like to know if you want light pop bottles, or dark pop bottles. Stout or ale? Or whatever else flavor that "pop"

comes in.

Glad to hear you'll be stopping by again NBB.

Mike, Based on what was sampled last year, I would bet that all of his flavors are good.

If it doesn't snow to much this week I may head to the show next Sat as well.

That way I won't be the only one trying to explain how cool Elmer's car & toy collection is.

Just got word that the last batch of home brew will be taken care of today so we're set in that department. Now for the menu.

What do you guys think? Brats n burgers again? Papa Murphys pizza, can't do that on the grill though. BBG chicken? I mean we can't have a bunch of bike wrenchers go hungry can we?

And like last year, start up time is anytime after I roll out of the sack which is about 6ish, and goes to whenever.

Can someone tell me where the tech day will happen? Thanks.
Nowthen is a small town just North of Anoka, about 27 mi. NW of Minneapolis. Or IIRC about an hour and a half straight North of Mankato.

We had a nice gathering last yr of about 12 - 14, and expect about the same this yr. A knowlegable and great group of guys.
