You might take a look around at the rest of the bike. Sometimes they like to chew on wires and hoses too.

Already have, learned that from experience...

Funny thing is the bike does not sit much, even in the winter I'm out atleast once a week.

Yes dear I rented the vacation nest. Yes dear it has the sauna. Yes dear it has the vibrating bed. We just have to bring our own food and linnens.

I redid a 1985 CB125S last winter, and its airbox was full of corn.

A friend redid a 2001 VFR800 in the spring, and the airbox was so crammed full of paper shreddings and other nesting materials, that its hard to imagine how they used it.

That funny! every time I fire it up I hear little squeeks, I thought it was the motor mounts but maybe its the filter "house" :)

Added to the list of things for the 09... A mousetrap in the airbox! What's the error code for that anyway. Surprised the ECU didn't pick up on the extra company. Did you change your tire pressure for 2 up riding? Etc. Etc. Etc.

My FJR has been lucky so far, but I've had both 4 wheeled vehicles have wiring chewed up and my garden tractor has twice had a nest built inside the flywheel housing. They've also shredded the insulation off the walls in my well house. *******s! :angry2:

But I'm a "nice" guy. I feed them regularly. I buy a special mouse food made by D-con. They really like it because it never lasts long when I put it out. Coincidentaly, about the time I started feeding them I started noticing dead ones laying around. Must be some kind of epidemic?

I did have a lizard take up residence in my GS1100E back when I lived in Florida. Riding down I-95 he decides to crawl up onto my tank. With visions of lizard crawling up my sleeve, I knocked him off. I'm thinking he didn't fare too well because he wasn't ATGATT. :dribble:
