You who missed this ride....well, nevermind! Siveradoslick, be sure and tell Catherine how much we missed her while we were gorging outselves on Raviolis and Lasagna. At last count, I think we had 22 or 23 bikes. Waaayyy cool! I'm sure Pegscraper (and TWN and Bluestreek and BikeEffects) will be posting pictures. We found some roads that Mr. Smooth (Highlander) would have loved! Lots of wind when we were out of the mountain's protections, but otherwise a gorgeous, sunny day and plenty of curves to wear on the sides of our tires. FJRVTX1300's even had the FJR out of the shop and was able to enjoy the ride on that rather than the cruiser.

It sure was great to see old friends and make new ones (heavy sigh).

Highlanders, Rogdebs and Tinker, you were missed! Let's get the repairing and recuperating over and done with, okay?

Pics have to be uloaded to Photobucket or another pic hosting site and then linked to here ( using the " img " button ) . We can't link the pics to your home computer like fjrowners site.

Before the FJR group arrived at the Arco station at the corner of Hwy 29/Petrified Forest Rd, a group of vintage police bike/ers turned the corner. Would you believe it, they ended up at the Union Hotel for lunch too.

Hey, I'm think I'm getting the hang of this now. Maybe I should spend more time here and I might get really good at this. But I think I hear MsNASCAR calling to watch a movie with her. So here are some more.

My son's LaCrosse team was ahead 7-3 at half!

Lost 10-9.

I was in Orinda as Bella Vista didn't want the kids playing on soggy grass...whimps.

Orinda was beautiful and I too often thought of the ride I was missing. I'm riding tomorrow...sorry to have missed all of you!

I must say that as we were riding from Winters to Moskowite to meet the rest of the group, I was thinking, Andrew and Sherrie would be taking lots of pictures of this road as we were following the banks of Putah Creek. We missed you guys but, as parents and family members, we realize which events are priorities. I'm glad you made his game.

@Highlander: Yep, lot's of new faces to take the pain from looking at the "old ones". :bleh: There were a couple of "old ones" conspicuous in their absence. Y'all get fixed up, Y'here! And we just have to find a way to eliminate the Rogdeb's excuses, er, uh, ahem, reasons...... ;)

It was a great early season ride. Also, waaaay high on the cool meter was TWN riding up to join us.

Mike, thank you sooo much for organising yet another great ride around some great Northern CA highways. I just want to let you know there was no difference between the rabbit and tortoise group. ;) :D

Since wifey was busy studying, it was way cool to chat while riding home on Hwy101 at 75mph through the Autocom. She swears there was no wind noise being picked up. This means I can now take calls from clients while on the road, when I should be at the office? :aaevil:

Was really a pleasure riding with the group and meeting some of you. Had to leave early for a family funeral. Hope to see some of you again. Ron

Hi Ron, you were the poor soul who got stuck next to me at lunch. :haha:

I thought I had a bad case of collecting toys, Ron takes it to a whole new level. :dribble:

Hey, did anybody else spot those two zebras to the left when we riding south on hwy 116 out of Gernville? They were further back on our second pass through there. Jacquie saw them the second time. It would have helped if we were mic'd up to point it out.

We had a great time yesterday. Lots of great food, good weather and seeing familiar and new faces. We missed the RogDebs and Highlanders. Hope to get in another ride with all before we move south and link up with that group for new rides. You southern riders, give me shout and let us know how it is.

Hey pegscraper,

Why isn't that picture in your profile? Too big? I can resize it and email it to you, just say the word. It's a beauty!
