Congratz!

If you don't mind, could you share with us (me) about what you gave for it. I would love to find a new '08 in a showroom that a dealer is desperate to unload before the 2010 details start to leak out.

I assume you mean a trunk/backrest.
There are many manufacturers out there, the most popular is probably Givi.

Google is your friend:

Just got my 08 AE on Friday. Total cost delivered to me from MN was just shy of $11,400. Don't know if they have any more on hand.

Welcome from NorCal. try the Heineken website for the drunk/backrest. I think they are the only ones who make a mini keg small enough to fit on a bike. Good Luck!

I ordered a new 2008 AE from a dealer in Pahrump (about 60 miles west of Las Vegas) for $10,900 before taxes and other fees. It's supposed to come in this week sometime. I think he said Yamaha was out of stock now on 08s, but maybe someone has one on the floor somewhere. Is that a good price? It sounded like it to me, so I jumped on it.

I have one of those drunk/backrests...but she doesn't like to ride much. :spiteful:

[Looks at Jennifer Connely in your avatar]

if you have Jennifer at home, drunk - I for one wouldn't blame you for a split second not riding the bike!

Yeah, that's a good price. And now, I hate you! :diablo:

Congrats!

Lyman...be a good sport and undo that edit. It's ok to ask for a little help to get the best possible backrest and prop up...well you know...shall we say "tipsy" copilots.

All in good fun. :clapping:

Bungie: Yes, that's her. And only in my dreams. (The worst of it...as soon as I wake up, I can't remember my dreams! Crap!)

I was jus typing to fast. Or maybe i was a bit tipsy. i don't remember. But, i am on sporttour.com and it looks like the mounting rack, the trunk (drunk) and a gel pad is gonna be between 5 and 550.
