I have spent most of my adult life avoiding most movies. I view them as a waste of riding time. I especially hate chick flicks. But my dear sweet Byrd has decided she wants to see Sex and the City so being the loving old fart I am I got tickets. I have watched one or two episodes of the series and frankly I don't get it but I will man up and do my duty so that others may not have to.

Please think of me this Saturday at 11:45am whilst you are out enjoying your FJRs in beautiful weather and ideal road conditions.

I just hope I don't snore.

Don't snore too loud now. You might even enjoy the movie. A lot of folk seem to enjoy watching it on TV. But then again, it's going to be a beautiful day for riding on Saturday.......

From what I've heard/overheard from very many of the fairer types with whom I've chatted, this is a movie that should be seen by women WITH other women, NOT a couple. Perhaps suggest she see it with some friends, and you'll be home when your GPS tells you to.

If you go...................................................................................wear pantyhose.

I agree man! Sounds like she needs a "girl's night". You should remind her of how terrible you would be in that theater as your heart will not be in it with her. Remind her that you love her too much to put her through that and that you only want her to be happy. This will definately help her to come to the conclusion that she should call one or two of the girls. Then you can RIDE ON MY FRIEND, RIDE ON!

First time I saw the pre-view for it with the wife........I just looked at her, and said no way, you'll be seeing that with one of your girlie friends. I just about left the house a couple weekends ago.....the misses brought home 27 dresses, and Mad Money for us to watch.

I'll be at Miller Motorsports Park in Tooele Utah watching Superbike racing. I may not take time out to think of you. Sorry.

BWAAAAAAAAAAAAAA HAAAAAAAAA!!!!!!

See, I wouldn't have known "Mad Money" was a chick flick. My wife will want to watch a movie with a title like that, I'll say "okay", only to realize it's a chick flick... arrghh.
There are certain actors/actresses that pretty much guarantee that it's a chick flick... Hugh Grant, Julia Roberts, Richard Gere, Susan Sarandon, Meg Ryan, Bette Midler... you know the ones.

I don't think there's anything wrong with someone watching "Sex in the City."

I just think you oughta where the skirt that goes with it. ;)

A few years ago I started seeing this woman, whom I'll refer to as, Ninja. You know the type, impossibly beautiful and just uses guys to get what she wants. One night she decides we need to go see a flick. I don't remember the name, but it had Meg Ryan and that Jackman dude in it. I knew it was a chick flick, but well, you want to jump some bones, you're like a puppy on a leash.

We walk into the theatre and the lights are still up. Thats when I saw the one lone male in the audience, he gave me this look like "RUN MOFO! RUN!". In hindsight it was damn funny. But I'll never forget that look.

Epilogue: I finally bagged her and it definitely wasn't worth it.

Dude, i'm a straight woman and *I* would rather be out riding. Tell her what i told my boyfriend- "You should really go see that with some of your friends that are willing to pay theatre prices to watch that schlock." :p
