Sometimes, in the name of romance, you have to just suck it up and endure the pain....then reap the benefits later! ;)

This just in - Bad News from UK newspaper review of the movie.

Just as well leave your 'nads at the door.

If there ever was a time for men to avoid the cinema, this weekend is it.

The Sex And The City film had its UK release last night with many cinemas full to the brim of extremely excited women - and hardly a man to be seen.

Such is the frenzied excitement surrounding the popular TV show’s celluloid offering that cinemas across the UK are booked up for weeks.

Good Lord, man... you want to know how I think of it? It is 2 f'in hours out of your life. If this is for the person that you love & that loves you back, it is worth it.

Funny how differently women and men think, huh?

I'm sorry, there is no sympathy from me. I just don't see how 2 hours spent making your lover happy is such a horrible burden that you need to post about it.

If she loved you...she would know better than ask... ;)

She can have at it with her girl friends...

EDIT: some things you just don't do together...like hanging wallpaper

Ya'll make me shake my head in disbelief.

come on, you can't speak for the entire gender. it doesn't make me happy to force my boyfriend to do stuff he doesn't want to do. i don't get my jollies making him spend 2 hours of his life doing something he hates, and vice versa. It's about respect for one another as individuals.

a movie is not the sort of thing that a person in a relationship should feel compelled/obligated to make a big sacrifice over.

Blech! When did this place start going all "Oprah" on us? WTF?

I seriously doubt that Badcat's relationship is in peril over this stupid movie. Lighten up ya'll.

Oh, and BC, did I mention that I'll be at the Superbike races this weekend? Turns out there are a few other FJR owners riding up from the Vegas area and we're all gonna burn some dead cow at Cdog's house. But I'm sure your movie will be...uhh....nice.

:p

I know, you've GOT to do something at the dealer level to stop girls from buying motorcycles.

Now, that's a stake through the heart, fellas. This vamp is dead.

"Excuse me honey, I gotta wiz....." ( )

... out the door, turn left, open the door......

Duh dah dah DAAAAH, Duh da daaaaaaa... (insert visual of fedora, whip and leather jacket)

... 2 hours later, back in the other cineplex room...

"My, dear, that took you an aweful long time. You OK? Prostate again? You missed the whole thing!" ( )

"Darn." ( :yahoo: )

All kidding aside, it works both ways.

I have gone to some highly anticipated "guy" movies and afterwords figured I would have been better off jamming that wasted money into the other place the sun don't shine.

I have also been "dragged" to some so-called chick flicks that were very good. After being being forced to watch "My Big Fat Greek Wedding", I took both of my daughters and watched it again.
