Just thought I would give you all an update. I met with the ins. adjuster today and she cut me a check for the damage to my FJR. Good service, good attitude. Allstate had no problem with me doing the work myself as long as I got an estimate from a legitimate shop. I actually was able to do this over the phone with a local shop, giving them a list of the parts and them filling in the blanks as to what the labor would be for doing all the work. I ordered the parts today and I should be up and running in a few days. I saved a lot of time and money doing some of the legwork myself, and not having to haul the bike around getting estimates. I even asked the adjuster what would happen if I found out later that there was additional damage that I didn't see at first, and she told me that I could submit a supplemental claim if I found out later that I had missed something.

All settled, the damage came to: Parts= $1695 Labor=$520. After subtracting the $500 decuctible, I should still come out ok, and be able to recoup my deductible by doing the work myself. Thanks to all who contributed information and much appreciated opinions.
