Rode the Ural today in the snow. Its not easy at all and I need to practice quite a bit before trying to riding it to work in this stuff. <_< The commercials and youtube shorts make it look so fun!!!
Sir, you are indeed my hero.

Most of the snow is gone so I was able to ride this morning. 11 degrees made the ride a bit brisk.

Tomorrow's forecast calls for snow so it looks like I'll have to take the truck. Anyone else in the MIDWEST still able to ride?

I'm thinkin about studding my tires on the 450x. Been riding my Buell as of late, wish it had the wind protection like the FJR.

It down right chilly here today in north Los Angeles County. 54 in the morning, somewhere around 80 for the lunch time ride and it is still 66 at 10pm. I just wish I can shovel some snow someplace!

I went for a 25 mile cruise on Monday night it was warmer here  It was 19 when I left :yahoo:

Yes you guys need snow I'm coming to Lutsen the middle of January :yahoo:

Lutsen's making snow so you should be good. Snocross was held at Spirit last weekend and they were able to make more than enough snow.

Still have good roads in Duluth. Rode in this morning. 10 above and its down to just 2 bikes where I work. The other fool say's he's going to ride longer than me. Yeah right, we'll see who's the bigger fool.

I'll be in the cities next Thursday, the 11th, and can bring the Tanji if you like. Save you a trip up here.

Little dusting of snow last night, just enough to put little ice patches in the most obscure places, but I rode to work any way.

Good for you and glad no crashes on slick pavement. Can you say windchill?

...yep. first time I really was glad I had a fairing and windshield (this is my first bike w/one--used to 'naked' bikes). And the main roads weren't bad, side streets tricky. And they salted the bejeesus out of the marine base. That was the worst part. sliding around on salt nuggets. Worse than gravel. Almost lost it in the parking lot, until I kicked away enough salt so I could get my boots on solid ground. sheesh.

All in a good cause.

on the way back from O'Hare, saw a cruiser type with a small shield on I 55, the man had icicles on his icicles.

that's because you cheated.

--That's just jealousy talking. I've been promising myself a Ural for years now. Want one, just don't know where I'd keep it. Came close to buying one when I got the feej instead.

Yeehaa, I got to ride to work this today. 25 degrees and a few ice patches...buts it's dry at least. I enjoyed every mile of it :D :good: :thumbsupsmileyanim: :yahoo:

Glad to hear someone's still riding. I've had to park mine for a few days.

At work now. Rode in. Was a balmy 37 degrees compared to Sunday. Started to ride in naked but wife doesn't like me showing her goodies! Besides it might be a bit cooler going home tonight.

So...the "guys" at work have no problem with you "dangling" in the clear?

eeeeewwwww.

:dribble:

Well, we rode down to the Texas Hill Country last Wednesday, 29 degrees when we left town, dropped to 23 crossing the Talimena Drive, then got as high as 38 before we rode into the snow around Buffalo, TX. 600 miles and most of it was at or below freezing. We were ready for the hot tub in New Braunfels!!! :(
