Twistedcricket got the last SINGLE room, but there are still 7 non-smoking rooms left with 2 queen beds. Be sure and tell the motel you are with the FJR Owners group; they will probably still give you a discount.

I might leave Wednesday and meet that group going to Niobrara, NE. Probably just camp out at the state park near there. Then get up and roll into Custer Thursday. If I miss the group, I'll probably still camp out in Niobrara (to 'scout' it for a ride next year with the girlfriend).

Since buying the bike in May (Friday before Memorial weekend) I was hoping to put 3,000 miles on before it snowed. I have 4,000 on it now and this trip should push me just over 5,000. :yahoo:

FWIW, Bavarian has free Wi-fi internet. Could this get any better without medication?

Sorry... the lady at the hotel made it sound like I got the last room.

I did get the special rate without asking for the FJR-OG pricing. That might be because of the room though.

(The tour will be limited to 12 people. It involves a fairly strenuous hike cross-country up a fairly steep hill, then climbing about 50 steps; about 1/2 mile each way. It will probably be Saturday morning, September 2, with a drawing the evening before to determine who will be selected to participate.)
