Yeah, the dash bulb is not a 7443, thats the bulb for the front marker/turn signal. The dash bulbs are pretty unique, don't know of an industry number, the Yami number is : 4YR-83517-10-00 for the turn signal indicator. The dash isn't hard to remove, just kind of involved, the windshield, A thru D panels, upper fairing sides , the little cover beneath the shield, and the aforementioned inner fairing panels under the nose, IIRC. Manual a definite help here.

Rad,

I have the manual, but if you look at page 3-12, it doesn't really tell you

how to take it apart, it just tells you to remove them, and then reverse

the removal process to put them back on..BIG help! (The manual is for a

2005 with the ABS supplement.)

This isn't exactly what I had in mind doing, but if I don't replace

the bulb, I'll leave the turn signal on even longer than I sometimes

do (I'm gettin' better, though). I went and got one bulb already, but

if, in fact, they tend to fail in pairs, maybe I should get another one

and do them both...whaddya think?

Not only that, but it's supposed to be gettin' into the triple digits

here in NorCal, and I don't have a/c in my garage, so it'll probably

take me a couple of days to do this (if I do it in the morning).

Thanks for the heads-up on what's required for removal.

Jim

I, on the other hand, do only have to replace the rt side turn signal/running light. Turn signal works fine--the running light just isn't lit. Is that one bulb with two filaments or a separate bulb?

All other lights are fine.

I understand from the replies above, thanks Radman, that I just have to take off the black triangular piece of plastic under the front cowling near the rt horn. Looks like 3 screws--hex or phillips.... Pretty simple.

Is that the correct way to get at this bulb? Any words of wisdom?

Is it a 7443 separate from the indicator light?

It's an 05 ABS

Thank you.
