OM now here is your q? that bridge with all the arcs what was the engineers name? That is what he is famous for and most of the bridges in Oregon is those arcs.

...I have not been to Crater Lake since my youth...
I woulda thought "your youth" was pre-eruption Bluesy.

edited - Read the brochure.

.... Spice it up a little...
You have no eye for detail Rich. There was Tabasco all over those eggs at the Black Bear.

I wonder...he said, in type....why there has never been a WFO in Oregon?...Are we "snubbing" Oregon for some reason?
Dudewado lives there Mikey. Need more be said?

Gotta ask, how the hell did you get the angle on this shot??

I'm taller than I appear in the pictures.

Okay. Tripod held up as far as I could reach. Flip out screen on the camera. Timer.

But I'm really tall with my helmet on.

Michael, don't you ever work?
Do you work for the guv-ment? I'd like to know how much vacation you get per year, 6mos?
Again. Time management.

...Please paint me jealous ...
Yeah, but I got no parfait, RJ.

I think I waved to you on 138 btw.
I saw a few FJR's!

...And I saw a bunch of car tire tracks on a couple of the roads!

I shoulda put two and two together.

...what was the engineers name?
Well Bob, that would be good ol' Conde McCullough.

An extraordinary man ... much like Dr. Rich ... except Conde was extaordinary.

I didn't just fall off the turnip truck, ya know.

And thanks all for the comments. Even you HYCLE.

This really sucks... I looked though it several times and didn't see Carver anywhere. No Hycle, Bokerfork, No MadMikeII, just pictures of rivers, lakes, roads, bikes and all that other junk we have seen before... Boring!!! How about the strip joints you stopped at.... Spice it up a little... Damn...... Rich
Only strip joint closed down a coupla years ago...
And you know this how? ;)
I think it was the GIRLS! GIRLS! GIRLS! sign out front that gave it away.

:D

That guy painted some ugly mugs. :dribble: :p

Well I don't know how old mike did it, but one of the mugs in the picture on the easel is mine. A few (heavier) pounds ago for sure, but my gray helmet hair and transition glasses are a giveaway....

Bastage!

And t all those who said my face was ugly -- :****: :******: :D

"A note for the locals here. Y'all know that 10 miles or so of very tight, curvy stuff

that brings you down out of the mountains as you approach Redding? The funnest part

of the whole damn road? Well, I'm no highway engineer, but it looks to me like they're

not ADDING curves."

Damn, that stretch of road is burned in my memory from several years ago. Shame it's being ruined.

Another great report Mike. I have no idea how ou get so many miles in AND stop to smell the roses and get all those shots... but I appreciate it.

So, Shiney; Old Fart was in our town, and I never heard from him. Did you hear from him?

I would think he would let us know he was gonna' be around, if just to score some free beer.

I did hear a report of a strange biker loitering by the high school; but that may have been me.

Still, it was a great write-up and pictures. As usual.

It was strange, though, to see a trip report from my neighborhood.

Come back some time when you can be sociable O.M. :p

(And anyone else that can.)

"

Nah, I sent a PM offering a spare bedroom and some Pinch but he said something about hookers, a motel, being tired -- don't really remember all the details... :p Maybe he just doesn't like whisky or beer after a day's riding. Kaliforny guys, what are ya gonna do?

The guy missed some good back roads we could have shown him. Then again, we'd have to stop every other mile for him to bend into a pretzel so he can get that special photo op... I hear the Old Fart can get into strange positions.

Dang it! OM now I have to start thinking about a trip to OR. Actually I was already thinking about it but now I may have to move it up on my schedule of places to go. Another great trip report and the pics were very professional looking to me. Thanks for sharing.
