Way to go, Dave!
Enjoy your tour in the great SW. B) ...and how are the natives taking to your Southern (English) accent? :p (yer not from around here, huh? )

Hi Stef

Its all going very well, problems with hotels have been solved. All I have to worry about know is getting a pr of tyres shipped to Bozeman for the last 1500 miles of the trip.

Our colonial rebels have been very well behaved, although if I had been in the East I would have been expecting musket balls fired from behind all those stone walls. I'm usually taken for an Australian which may explain everything.

Hope you're keeping well.

Dave

Orestes - how was the Dugway?
It was fine, a little rough in places but it was well worth the ride and well within the capability of the FJR, some really excellent views at the top and once I get home I hope to share some photos and video

I'm sure it was only a coincidence that I suffered a complete electrical failure on the way back down to Bluff. In the end I believe it was caused by a loose connection to the battery and not the dreaded ignition switch failure. I've had no more problems in the last 1500 miles and am on the last few days of my adventure in Idaho.

Man, Dave ! What a great trip you're on ! Thanks for keepin' us posted.
4 days to go and I've almost worn out another set of tyres. Pulled into my hotel in McCall Id tonight and I find a large nail in the rear tyre. I've pulled and plugged it and will check the pressure in the morning before I head to Baker City. If there are problems I'm told there is a dealer (Hinson Powersports) a few miles south on Hwy 55 who should be able to help.

I'll not provide too many details of the young lady I met in Salmon last night, but she seemed to like the accent
