I went to a local dealer today and looked at an 07 ABS, standard transmission, no heated grips, burgundy FJR.

Salesperson quoted me $13,514.38 out the door.

I think I can do a lot better than that, particularly if I look at an 06 or 05 that is still on the floor (if I can find one). I am just outside of Atlanta, but willing to travel to get a good deal. I'll probably end up buying used, but I always like to see what price I can get on a new one just in case.

Any suggested dealerships, particularly in the Southeast?

These folks Here seem to have a following in your neck-o-the-woods. I did order a 4 year YES from them, and they were first class on it.

OTD that comes out to about 12,5k + TTL which I guess isn't too bad. I got lucky and found a dealer who couldn't move one, since not many sell in NYC, and I got it for 11k +TTL. One guy on the forum got one off of ebay for 12k so maybe you can print it out and bring it to the dealer to haggle.

I just bought an 06AE with 275 miles and 6 months left on the warranty. It has the Kouba link on the rear which lowers it 7/8". The idea was for my wife to ride it but it's still a llittle too tall for her. I'm going to be selling her (the bike) for something in the range of $12,200. If there is any interest lPM me.

mstocks, Easy Living Yamaha in Rome has it's price at $11,599.00 before taxes and the other garbage check it out. The classifieds on this forum has an 06 with 250 miles for $11,000 and if I remeber he is in Douglasville which if you don't know is out I-20 past Six Flags. Good Luck.

I don't know if they have any more, but I paid $11,779 + tax and license at D & H Cycle in Cullman AL.

I tend to look for a gently used bike to save some $$, preferably one with a few farkles.

If I were in the market for a new one, I would check out these two.

Link1 Link2

Plus side of buying used is you can usually get a test ride (if you bring a ~$12,000 cash deposit)

**No affiliation with either seller, just look like good deals.

***These bikes for sale...like a possbily topless, naked, short skirt, etc... girl, they make me look, but I'm perfectly happy with my 05.

How about 11,799.00 plus 3% sales tax and 79.00 clerical fee. If you live outside of Alabama you pay the tax at home.

256 355 9706 www.allsportinc.com Also discounts on accessories.

Good Luck!

mstocks,

Welcome to the forum, I've been watching Craigs List for a starter bike for my wife and saw THIS 2005 FJR1300 for sale with 2000 miles. He/She is asking $9600. One thing to consider, in 2005 ABS was optional, it doesn't say but I would suspect this in non-abs.

Good luck with your search, let's ride sometime.

JW

note: I have no connection to the seller referenced above. Buyer beware, yada, yada!!!

I got my crated A '07 (along with panels swapped with a crated AE, to create a silver A) for $11,900 out the door, but even though this place is just 4 miles from my house (Sunland Park, NM), it's in a different state, so I have to pay my own TTL in TX.

Anyway, anything under 12K is a great deal IMO. Oh, and this place has about 6 crated AEs if anyone is interested, plus a unique 'black cherry' AE (with my panels) with 0 miles as well. Later.
